  1. Umm you don’t have to be “in shape” in today’s NBA lol Come on! Fat shaming him at this point is useless. Bring back the old short tight shorts from before the mid 80’s and the more form fitting playing uniforms. THAT would be an EXCELLENT deterrent . They want TV time. Jiggly fat on a court on national TV would be horrible. Besides the camera adds 20 lbs lol
The list of NBA butterballs is legendary. Karl Malone was the first one to announce he was going to workout year around, then the “in shape” tend started. I thought that was hilarious because the more “in shape” they got the longer their shorts got “hiding” flabby thighs. Barkley looks just like Williamson when he was in the NBA. Barkley NEVER slimmed down his entire career. The best name was “Dinner bell Mel Turpin” the list goes on. Sure keeping in shape may help him. But he could have a million dollar chiseled body and still blowout his ACL. Injuries in sports have always been a wild card. It’s all just luck of the draw.

  2. I always wondered if Kevin Garnett had bulked up…how much more dominant he could have been.
But i never bashed him for being thin.
    That's his business

  3. Hearing about dudes like Morant, Simmons and Williamson really make me respect how NFL contacts are structured.

These NBA guys get fully guaranteed contracts…and for what?

  4. I think the real dialogue should be maybe he has an actual food addiction. It's a real thing that isn't spoken on enough, especially with us being in the most obese country.

  5. The last name Redick almost reminds me of when Rick falsely attacked Josh Reddick over his patriotic underwear when it was paying homage to the cities recovery efforts post Hurricane Harvey

  6. Zion is a slow started. Its he's played 19 out of the 23 games and NO is 1-3 when he doesn't play. Compared to other 23 y/o's in the league he's still top tier. As far as his play, he needs to improve his free throw shooting 64% ain't going to cut it and he should be rebounding more.

  7. He really is just submerged in distractions and it don’t help he is about to have a kid neither. He’s gonna have to put his head down and play ball or the life he wants for himself and his family will be nonexistent.

  8. I could never get the hype around him. He had some cool dunks in college and that was it for me. Skinny Shaq did run pretty hard for a 7 footer if you watch the clips.

  9. If he was a nice kid, more sympathy for him but at those latest press conferences he comes across like a spoiled 12 year old.

  10. Neither thumbs up or thumbs down. In fact, I'm in a fun mood today. Slang: How y'all gonna be mad at Zion Williamson's weight. He plays in an arena called "Smoothie King" and plays in the City of New Orleans, LA USA. The home of gumbo and jambalaya.

  11. I don't care if he's fat, to me he doesn't play for the love of the game but loves what the game can get you, but that my opinion I don't know what ZW is going through cuz of injury's & small market

  12. Here's the problem I have with Zion. When injured, he never changed his diet. Look at Klay, Rose, KD, Kobe, even John Wall. Not a single one of them came back from their SHTF injury overweight. They watched their diet, maintained muscle tone where they could and then worked their tails off to get back – That's not Zion and I was laughing when NOLA drafted him because I already KNEW exactly what/who they were getting… 100% talent, freakish size but ZERO discipline.

  13. What's sad is this is exactly what everyone said would happen to him. He is gifted explosive and just to joy to watch when healthy but for his style of play if he wants to have any kind of career and not fall victim to injuries, he has to lose weight. Now 4 years in and we are still seeing the same thing and I think the game against Lebron in which a near 39 year old man, someone by all rights should getting near to hang it up, ran up and down the court like a damn gazelle and really highlighted the difference.
My favorite player growing up was Charles Barkley, literally the only basketball jersey I ever bought, had the same issues when he came in and after being told that he was overweight and out of shape he corrected it and went on to have an hall of fame career. Zion refuses to listen, insists on doing whatever it is he is or is not doing and it shows. To be honest, if he was 340lbs but still somehow managed to move on the court, not look lackadaisical on defense, avoid injuries while still putting up solid numbers, no one would care about his weight. Just like no one cares about Tyson Fury's or Ruiz's weight. I mean yeah people still comment but people still list them as among the 5-10 best boxers on the planet. This dude needs to lose weight somehow. Maybe hire LBJ's team of witch doctors and follow his routine or something because I really feel like his career is going to be cut real short and there is going to be a sad 30 for 30 15 years from now talking about what could have been and how he is making due as a division 3 assistant basketball coach or something.

  14. When you can afford a live-in personal chef and trainer, there are ZERO EXCUSES. Period. He's lazy AF, plain and simple.
