  1. Anthony Davis had his best game of his career in a game that doesn't even count as a regular season game. Not ready to crown him yet.

  2. The Lakers will never be on the nuggets level. The nuggets have the best player in the world and perfect role players

  3. I demand more spurs and pistons content, im mad this is a lakers channels (irony) i am gonna unsuscribe (no i wont)

  4. Great breakdown of the Lakers, their ceiling, their roster issues at the 2 and the 3 and what they can do to close the gap with Boston and Denver

  5. Ok the Lakers have a top 3 defense but do you really believe in their offense? They have the 15th best offense.

  6. this IST gave some of the Lakers players a small taste of playoff environment. Let's hope the team stays healthy for the playoff

  7. There's no way they can make it out the west unless Jokic gets hurt. There's no point acting like the Lakers have surpassed the Nuggets.

  8. Mailbag: Hey Jason, I want your opinion on the players that played for team USA this year. It seems as if all of the starters have made really good to great strides this year (BRANDON INGRAM, AUSTIN REAVES, TYRESE HALLIBURTON JALEN BRUSON ETC). Do you think playing some of the world's best helped them raise their ceilings in the NBA, and if so do you think it's sustainable or fluke-ish in your opinion.

  9. This defense is way better. You can light them up from 3 that 2020 team. This Lakers team with the wings really make it hard for you to get easy looks. The defense was never able to get it started before Rui missed a bunch of games, Vando just started playing a week ago, & Cam even got hurt in key matchups. This team is insane with the way they attack the perimeter. They haven't been healthy … the ceiling with this team is actually higher.

  10. I'm not trading D-Lo, over 30% of his pases go to AD & he's been a large part of AD balling recently. We already saw in 2020 & the years since that we need a PG who looks for AD (rondo) not a PG who looks for his own shot (Dennis).

  11. Really like Jovan from my days reading the Athletic in the past before they decided to not have a Nuggets writer. Laughable but that's not on Jovan or any intelligent life form. It appears there are a number of non intelligent life forms at the Athletic that make these kinds of decisions. At some point the simply stupid coverage of the NBA wildly biased toward literally only a couple of markets causes you to click delete. I'm hoping that won't happen here but the signs are gathering.

  12. Mailbag question Jason: we keep talking about point of attack augmentation for Lakers, who realistically out there in the market is a realistic target for the Lakers?

  13. Thanks Jovan for the call to rearrange our perspective on AD. Nuance is required especially for the unicorn that AD is. For most of us it is tough to equate his Defensive brilliance to some of the offensive impact that other stars bring👏👍

  14. Heres a Mailbag question for you. It seems that no matter what Lebron does the goal post always moves. Despite the fact that the pacers went through both the bucks and celtics, and then got shut down. Despite this people say they had no real competition in their tournament run. I am just curious why it seems that lebron more than any other player has so much scrutiny. Despite the fact hes 39 and a top 10 player still it feels like its never enough. So the question is why do you think lebron more than anyone else gets this much hate and scrutiny such as the Bubble being called a fake win.

  15. Team is great but when it comes to Denver, that team just owns the Lakers since they matchup so well with them. Lakers need a backup big to help AD in the paint. Hayes/wood are not the answer.

  16. Gabe vincent is going to come back and ruin everything until DLo is traded. Skill gaurd + 2 wings + Bron and AD is what is best for this team. Any lineup with 2 of DLo/AR/Vincent will be NOT be it.

  17. I really hope you're wrong about the Lakes in the Finals. I agree they're playing the best i've seen since LBJ & AD joined. But man, just as i had feared, they play fookin ugly basketball (might even say bullyball). If they prevail i may have to start taking care of my household chores instead of watching basketball! LeBron & AD should be playing for the Rams, that's not basketball as i want to see it! Absurd to hear you analyze it in such detail – they're just going to run over guys and dump the ball unceremoniously into the basket. Bore-ing! Yuck!

  18. Half the games Austin played sucked while Delo had just as many good games and no one gave him that same courtesy. Folks was quiet when Austin sucked. Smh
