When The #1 Defense Meets Zion Williamson

The Minnesota Timberwolves have been historically good on defense, fueled by their league-best rim protection… but Zion Williamson had other ideas.

  1. I don’t think Zion is unstoppable. He can only go left. And good defense teams like lakers have exposed him. But still love your videos

  2. Couldn’t watch the game yesterday but I read that the Pelicans had like 40 free throws in the second half compared to like 11 for Minnesota.

  3. I’m just saying Zion didn’t do this with Lebron and AD as the defensive anchor. Let’s pump the brakes on Gobert’s fourth award. We need AD to get his first because it’s about his time now!

  4. Ticky Tak fouls called on Zion all game yesterday. Gobert was in foul trouble so he couldn't be as aggressive. It's funny how Zion could be aggressive and play bully ball but when the defender gets aggressive on him they will call a foul. Dude is just strong as hell and can only go left or just spin left. Once he loses his athleticism, gonna be another Blake Griffen 2.0

  5. Guess I’ve been spoiled by the Heat last year. Coz everytime I see a big double I expect a partial zone and a pre rotation. GSW, Lakers and Nuggets are all also elite at that. If the Wolves want to be elite in the playoffs they probably need to work on that.

  6. Babe I’m sorry I don’t feel like touching you tonight, you’re starting to resemble Zion Williamson and HoopVenue dropped

  7. This game is just to remind everyone that incredibly talented player like zion (furthermore when he wants to prove a point because SAS said on live TV that he "eat the table") can have great night against all time defensive player like gobert it doesn't make gobert a scrub who doesn't deserve a DPOY

  8. Nobody can stop Zion if he actually cares and plays aggressively. He just needs to play the same way every game. Him and Ingram together have enough star power to make New Orleans a serious contender

  9. Eh i feel this game is a lil fluky cuz ant was out and the refs made it all about them. I will say the pels always give us problems tho

  10. I feel thorn about Zion. On one hand i admire his finishing ability. On the other hand i hate how soft the rules are, on a lot of drives zion clearly initiates the contact and somehow gets free throws. The drive at mcdaniels is the best example, zion just headbutts him out of the way. Again, fantastic finish but it saddens me this is a defensive foul

  11. Zion is an excellent player and an all time finisher. The annoying thing is that he'd be so much better if he actually took care of his body. All these clips in these vids are of an out of shape Zion. If he's this good now , imagine if he had more speed , cardio etc. I hope he figures it out man

  12. If this video lacks the context that the officials in this game decided that any contact on a driving defender was a foul then you're missing a huge chunk of context. 40 free throws. By the end of the night the defenders were just traffic cones because Zion and Ingram were initiating contact and getting a reliable whistle

  13. Zion was literally clueless against 39 year old LeBron and then next game, he obliterates historic defense. Basketball is weird sport man!! lol

  14. Looked like it was Lebron who played mind games to shut down Zion. Just don't see why he didn't just take the mid range shot when it was continually given to him if he can be decent at making free throws

  15. Sad that the conversation about Zion is pessimistic, but I think it's completely justified given his injury history at such a young age and the other red flags (weight, lack of effort). Onus is on him to prove everyone wrong and live up to his potential. Hoping that he does because when he's firing on all cylinders he's awesome to watch in a way that very few basketball players in history are.

  16. I wouldn’t be surprised if by the end of the season they are an elite team. The showed promise beginning of last year

  17. The Lakers had the best defense I've seen against the Pacers at the Finals of the In Season Tournament or the "NBA Cup"
    Their defense was so good

  18. can you do a video on Julius Randle and how he has been playing great since his first 6 games of bad basketball and how he turned his season around?
