  1. Ivey at PG, Cunningham at SG, Thompson SF, Stewart at PF someone tell him to post up more, less 3s, Duren at C. Getting rid of Bey was the worst move ever for this young team.

  2. When are we going to address the coaching of Monty? I don't think he wants to be here, his heart isn't in it. His bank account is the only reason he's going thru the motions

  3. Cade Ivey, Ausar, Bogey, Duren. But be clear: No lineup will force Monty to do the right thing. He would start Ivey then only play him 20 minutes, (gotta play Kill, Stew, Livers, a ton, btw) he would never do the right thing and keep one of Cade, Bogey, Jalen on the floor. He would never save Cade and have Ivey bring the ball up. He would never take Ausar out of the corner (ok, maybe 1 game).

  4. This team wonā€™t win a game until Duren returns so we can finally bench Isaiah Stewart. Dude is an abject cancer to this team with his rec league skill set coupled with an obvious lack of athleticism and zero signs of ever improving. And you know what the crazy thing is? This teamā€™s entire system is built around Isaiah Stewart. Everything is tailored for him.

On defense they never play anything straight up. Itā€™s constant switching. Why? Because they believe Stew has elite switch-abilityā€¦and he also gets cooked whenever he guards an opposing wing or big one on one.

Offensively they never run pick and rolls. Even though guys like Cade and Ivey would make great P&R ball handlers and itā€™s also the most commonly run play in the league today, the Pistons refuse to ever use it. Why? Because Isaiah Stewart is incapable of setting a screen properly.

And just look at the iso-heavy spread offense they run. Itā€™s woefully ineffective as thereā€™s little to no emphasis on off-ball movement, screening, ball reversal, etc. Why? Because any motion-style offense requires everyone to make quick decisions with the ball in their hands to keep the play moving. Isaiah Stewart has one of the lowest offensive IQs of any basketball player Iā€™ve ever seen. The Pistons donā€™t want their ā€œemotional leaderā€ to feel uncomfortable, so scrap the motion offense. The spread iso-heavy sets they run also allow Stew to camp out at the perimeter for wide open standalone 3P shots from a set position. Even though itā€™s proven to not help the spacing AT ALL, the Pistons continue to run this because thatā€™s what Stewā€™s comfortable doing.

And notice how the team, despite being extremely young and athletic almost NEVER pushes the break. Why again, you ask? Because Stew is not a rim runner or lob threat. He runs like he has cinder blocks for shoes. Canā€™t let Stew feel left out!

Heā€™s also the only guy other than Cade whoā€™s yet to be removed from the starting lineup, always closes games, and consistently plays 30+ min a night no matter how ineffective he is.

And before you all tell me Iā€™m crazy because this is obviously Cadeā€™s team, just take a look at how theyā€™ve built their roster. They deliberately brought in bigs who would never amount to anything more than bench players (Bagley, Wiseman) because they 100% see Stew as their long term PF.

And even this past draft. Donā€™t get me wrong, I love Ausar and he was probably the best player available, but we all knew he couldnā€™t shoot. If your primary objective was developing Cade Cunningham, you would never draft a defense-first wing who canā€™t shoot when Cade is in desperate need of floor spacers. But because Ausar is a hard-nosed defense-first guy, it fits the bill of molding the team in the ā€œgritā€ and ā€œhustleā€ image that Stew portrays.

This franchise is so inept that theyā€™ve prioritized developing Isaiah fucking Stewart over their #1 overall pick and the one guy who has the potential and ability to actually turn this franchise around. Culture and effort comes before talent and impact in the minds of the clowns running this team. Itā€™s a fucking joke.

  5. The season is over. They might win a game here and there. Find out who to keep and who to let go. Play the kids only. Bury Bogdonovic, Harris, and Morris on the bench. Fire Weaver. Make Gores sell. See what you can get for Cunningham, ivey, Wiseman, and Stewart. Start over.

  6. great content guys, it's weird I'm not technically a pistons fan (I am a rockets fan), but I think I'm so enthralled with what's going on with this team bc It wasn't too long ago that the Rockets we're arguably more dysfunctional and even more poorly coached than the pistons haha. Thank GOD we got rid of Steven Silas and brought in veteran leadership, so I'm hopeful the proper heads will roll in Detroit and get them back on track bc for sure it's more enjoyable when there's parity in the league and more teams are good than bad imo. Hang in there Detroit brothers!
