  1. Gilbert Arenas never played defense in his career so I donā€™t expect to him understand the impact of Ausar Thompson

  2. Gil needs to understand ausar is just reverse what he is and he is actually a above average offensive playet and defense is dpoy level defense is viewed higher with all of these players averaging 20 who are negatives on defense (excluding paolo)

  3. Gil complains that it is unfair that red shirt rookies are considered rookies because they get a year in the NBA system, but he thinks since a rookie is 21 we should compare them to Paolo because of age…make it make sense.

  4. Asure is a good player but not a ā€œcorner stoneā€. People are running with these comments like he called him trash, fucking cry babies.

  5. Ausaur has IQ and great instincts. I am confident he will develop other skills and become a good offensive threat. Heā€™s more gifted of an offensive player than lonzo imo and lonzo turned out really good. Ausar gonna be good

  6. Man hasnā€™t even finished his rookie year and Gil already knows what type of player he going to be . Just cause a couple players are doing historically great doesnā€™t mean heā€™s doing bad

  7. Ausar probably shouldn't be a cornerstone of the Pistons. Not because I'm down on Ausar. But because he should be the cornerstone of a team with a competent front office.

  8. I don't get the comparing to 21 year olds or whatever, but his point as a GM of wanting/having to pay Ausar a max isn't exactly wrong. That's what he means by cornerstone. It's early, but completely wrong.

  9. well let`s all hope that Gilbert Arenas never becomes a GM or a coach.
Gilbert Arenas never won as a player, and he is for sure never going to win as a coach or GM.
and honestly just look at MJ one of the greatest players of all time, is a terrible scout for nba talent and prospects. So just because you were an NBA player it doesn`t mean you are a good gm or coach.

Gilbert Arenas just loves to hear himself talk, majority of what he says is wrong, and he only has a few decent takes.

  10. Bro Gilbert arenas has ruined how I looked at him as a player now that I know he thinks basketball is just scoring I know he was built to be a loser in the nba

  11. I think Gil is looking at the times too . Players are scoring at higher clips on average. Unlike when he was 20 and a 10 ppg made you a solid player

  12. Gilbert takes be from a retired players perspective and itā€™s lowkey annoying. He need to go back and look at them early 2000s draft classes cus he keep acting like he was one of them ones. He act like he a legend or something he just had a good 5 year run. I knew he was trippin when he said he was better than Brandon Jennings coming out of HS when Brandon Jennings was one of the first players not to go to college and get drafted like how Lamelo did if Gil was that nice he wouldā€™ve came out of hs cus them draft classes until 2003 was trash

  13. I donā€™t imagine Ausar will ever develop into a franchise player offensively, but he has shown ELITE qualities on defense, rebounding, iq, and even a bit of playmaking.

Also, heā€™s playing on a SHIT team with under 30 minutes a game as a rookie. His numbers are good as hell tooā€¦

Iā€™d imagine a prime Ausar putting up 15-17 pts, 4-5 asts, 1-2 steals, 1-2 blocks, and 10-12 rebounds a game with ELITE defense. Basically a player ANY team would love to have. A player who can defend multiple positions, scores a bit, playmakers a bit, has a good iq, and just works hard. These players in the right system blossomā€¦ look at Draymond

  14. but hes right tho ausar is on the chopping block he needs to at least gain weight on his 2nd season and be this ultra switchable guy like a draymond and either shoot 3s or be a playmaker like draymond. or he could go the mikal bridges route.

  15. Steve Nash didn't average 10+ points until he turned 26 yo (4th season). Arenas has no idea what he's talking about. Especially since he can't even comprehend what it means to play defense, which Ausar is a prodigy at.

  16. Jaylen Brown, Gilbert Arenas, Kawhi Leonard, Jimmy Butler, Paul George, Khris Middleton plenty examples of guys not scoring a bunch until the first few years and developing into stars. Gil really needs to be realistic.
