Knicks Make MULTIPLE Moves…

The New York Knicks have been making moves to cover for Mitchell Robinson’s absence, bringing back a player who we’re all familiar with in Taj Gibson. In the process, they have also waived Dylan Windler. Chris Gallagher discusses the reasoning behind Taj, and also talks the other options that they realistically had.

  1. Really? Taj Gibson is the answer for missing Mitch Robinson …smh so freaking tired of this franchise we deserve to lose bc of the boneheaded decisions this organization continues to make, they don’t want to win they rather stay mediocre and lethargic. I’m ready to start rooting for the nets, they seem to be the only team worth rooting for.

  2. The Knicks must
•Trade Rj for Jeremy Grant and plug him in at the 3

Rj does not fit our starting line with his game style, he is a below average shooter and his only skill set is struggling to get to the rim.
Grant fits this team better overall and is a great defender we could utilize. Also RJ fits what the Trail Blazers are headed.
•Wait for Donovan Mitchell then plug him at the SG.

BRUNSON-Donovan-Grant-randle-Robison should be the starting line up we could get for sure. Its right there for us to make it happen. We have enough bandaid players like DiVincenzo, and Hart we need a batter starting line up.

This current team is NOT MAKING NO DEEP PLAYOFF RUN.

The Knicks must learn how to evaluate players better, IQ should’ve been the player we extended he’s progressed more then any one we drafted and has shown his potential. Rj has not shown any improvement for 5 years. He’s a role player and we have to move him asap.

  3. Dude we are going to s#ck for several seasons if we don't actually make moves that make a dam difference right now. It's hard to take the Knicks serious.

  4. Anyone happy about the Taj Gibson signing share the same loser mentality as this front office. How does signing a 38 year old make more sense then just allowing a rookie or any young player develop on the back end of the bench? Taj at his age is not going to improve or raise his value around the league if we needed to put a trade package together.

  5. Really? Why was there a need to bring back Taj Gibson? I liked him in the past…but no. If they wanted a free agent, why didn't they go for Kelly Oubre Jr. in the past instead of Donte DiVincenzo? The team acted as if they were signing Steph Curry or Klay Thompson. They also didn't try to get De'Aaron Fox, Dejounte Murray, Shai Gilgeous Alexander or Jrue Holiday.

As for players they could sign? They have a ton of draft picks. Why aren't they trying to get at LEAST 2 or 3 of these players: OG Anunoby, Pascal Siakam, Tyler Herro, Myles Turner, Buddy Hield, Lauri Markkanen, Terry Rozier, Kyle Kuzma, Mikal Bridges, Caris LeVert. They also have enough first round draft picks and young players to try to go after Donovan Mitchell. If they don't, they can try to bring in a 3rd or 4th team.

Myles Turner is a center but maybe he can play like a forward. He can block shots, dunk, finish on alley oops, finish on pick n' rolls and knock down 3 pointers. His 3 point shooting ability would make it harder for opposing defenders to double team players on the Knicks that are trying to shoot or drive to the rim.

  6. Also your explanation of Jericho Sims' role is why Thibs should be fired. Thibs should be pushing the players to consistently: move well without the ball, pass fast out of double teams, pass fast in general, set screens so that it's easy for players to get shots off, cut to the rim for easy passes on the run, do more alley oops, do more pick n' rolls, get out in transition so that they can score before the other team sets up their defense and speed up the pace.

If the Knicks did that, then both Jericho Sims and Mitchell Robinson would score more. That would make it harder to double team Julius Randle, Jalen Brunson, RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley. It's also why Quickley and RJ can't dominate or get to the rim as easily as they could in the past.
