I dont think the C's scheme is going to get anyone on to 1st team – too many shifts, too much shared responsibility, they dont take chances so they dont get tons of turns. Ist team is a popularity contest, with extra benefits for guys who have to do it all themselves, who grab big stats accordingly. Like, C's are 4th in defensive rating, 4th in def rebounds, 4th in opp ots off turnovers, 4th opp points in the paint, 6th in blocks, 6th in opp fast break pts, 10th in opp 2nd chance points – and 24th in steals. They win bc they force bad shots, late in the clock; good for playoffs runs, bad for winning national attention for personal achievement. Jrue might get the nod, just bc he's got the credentials already (and bc he's outstanding), but I'd be surprised if anyone else did.
Great game. I think by game 50 this team will look damn near unstoppable. I’ve been saying it for a while only the boston Celtics can stop this team.
