His time expired with the Grizzlies, glad to see them willing to show appreciation for his time there. He had his value to those Grizzlies teams.
I reckon the tribute is like an apology. The Grizzlies can no longer deny that they threw the bloke under the bus given how Dillon is performing, both for Rockets and in the World Cup.
They lowballed him tho, glad Houston picked him up and Brooks showing his impact to a team.
Brooks was an important part in their ascension back to relevance, and he helped give them an identity. Deserved.
