  1. how many pro sports announcers are there that aren't totally one-sided "homer"s

the play that develops @5:04 is a classic example
the announcers have it right that the ball was out of bounds off Curry's foot
& ignore the fact that Curry lost the ball after one Blazer whacked his left wrist
when he was dribbling with that hand and then the Blazer who came from behind
grabbed Curry's right arm above the wrist after Curry switched to that hand & even
if the ref is going to say the 2nd guy got the ball instead of just taking Curry's 2nd hand
out of the play, the Blazer was out of bounds if he had touched the ball, thereby making
the ball out of bounds & the play dead already when Curry's foot touched the ball. The
ball was out of bounds off Curry's foot becuz 2 Blazers had taken each of Curry's hands
out of the play & the refs were swallowing their whistles @ home team fouls during the
last minute home-team come-from-behind threat drama. So not a horribly blown call
by the refs that cost the Blazers a chance at the game. Just basic product (=drama)
maximization by the league's refs, swallowing their whistles during a potential home-team
comeback, which they'd already done @ least once & maybe twice in the prior minute. And
likewise basic product maximization by the TVvoices low-key invitation to a self-pity party
by turning the refs' no-call favor to the Blazers into a missed-call favoring the Warriors.

in my half century watching Bay Area sports teams I think we've been extremely fortunate
to have as many announcers as we have who were willing+able to give a both-sided view
of a debatable ambivalent game event. I wonder how many others there are out there.
