Not really mad tbh. We got outplayed tonight and it’s as simple as that. I’m one of the biggest Paolo supporters but he needs to get over the foul calls and look to facilitate if he doesn’t have it. Also, He’s leaving so much at the FT line this season; idk what’s been up with that. Overall, Lack of shooting and 15+ turnovers aside – this is a really good lesson for this team and Moseley.

Edit: Where the heck was Joe? Is he okay?

  2. Freudian-Fall

Boston made it personal. This is what we get for smacking them four games in a row.

Shout out to Pritch and Derrick White but losing by this much is our fault entirely. This was one of Paolo’s worst games this entire season. Horrible decision making, couldn’t muscle in any paint points in the second half and shot terribly from the free throw line. He needs to bounce back next game if we have any hope of making it a close game.

  3. Jkolinski32

A loss where everything goes wrong is what it is. The ones with a few little mistakes are worse to me. I’ll just log it as an off night and move on.

We really need a PG with good ball handling and decision making. The point forward thing we’ve been doing with Paolo and Franz is good in small doses but they’re turning the ball over too much lately.

  5. Well, I’m fine with the outcome, but the way we played (beside Suggs, Goga and AB) was… Well, no energy? Nothing of what I enjoyed the whole season (even in the losses), putting up a fight, hustling.

  6. GreatWhiteNurse

Boston’s superbowl. Jokes aside, they really wanted this win. Let’s show them the same energy on Sunday.

  7. Franz game is getting really stale. Last year he had the combo of the drives and the stepbacks and it kept defenders guessing. This year it’s all drives and he’s way too predictable. He obviously has zero confidence in his jump shot. His jumpshot looks broken. It always comes out too low, and sometimes barely sneaks its way into the basket. Last year he was 36% from 3, this year he’s only 30%. Major regression. He’s also not passing enough. Too many stubborn drives right into multiple defenders. If he can’t shoot it better, he needs to less selfish. When he’s shooting well, we want him to be selfish, but he’s not shooting well at all.

  8. Really sloppy game, hope they clean it up on Sunday. They can pull it off

  9. ricksenberg

    We got Punked.

    Molly Whopped.

    Shellacked.

Ngl kinda expected it considering we’ve had their number and they’re really good at home but really… no excuse for the lack of defensive awareness throughout the entire game.

Couldn’t take advantage of their lack of size. Won’t get easier on Sunday.

I know we’ll play better next game but our weaknesses were certainly exposed tonight.

  10. Why does our 6th overall pick have no offensive bag? Come on now

  11. Thats what happens when you havent played in a fornight…. rusty

  12. Blading_at_45

Meh, they’ve shown a good ability to bounce back after a loss. Boston is obviously very good at home.

  13. Economy-Dirt-4836

There is a reason advanced analytics have been saying Derrick white is a top 20 player since his spurs days. Elite defender, can play on ball or off ball, never makes the wrong reads, elite shooter, unselfish player. He’s the best rim protecting guard ever. He won’t get recognized as one since he doesn’t score 20-25 ppg but he is an All star/All nba level player and there is no more denying it.

  14. Boston came out ready to kill clearly ready to avenge their previous losses and the focus was evident today and props to them for that. The magic laced that same intensity and it hit them very quick when the shots weren’t falling to bail them out. Our rookie point guard should not be second on the team in rebounds to our third string center. I need more of a buy in from paolo and franz on the glass especially franz. Gary also needs his minutes slashed until he starts hitting his 3s because that’s his only job right now and he isn’t hitting anything. I expect a much different and much closer game on Sunday

  15. Mammoth_Warning_9488

Second unit got abolutely destroyed, ingles must be still injured or something as he only had 6 minutes.

The second unit had zero direction tonight.

  16. How about Anthony Black though? I thought he played really well. Solid on defense, made some 3s, hustled for rebounds. I’m surprised how good his 3ball looks. He has good form. I was not a fan of picking him at the time because of his poor shooting percentages, but he seems like he could be a decent shooter from the catch.

  17. Throw this whole game in the bin, forget about it and on to the next one.

  18. IAmThePromoter

    20 TO, 8/25 3PTA, 42% FGA.
We can’t win this match with these numbers unfortunately. This wasn’t our night.
Let’s move on, onto Sunday’s match more determined and focused.

    Ps. Refs suck

  19. treadwater23

Lakers and Pacers lost to the Spurs and Wizards, it could be worse.

  20. 1/82. It happens in a long season. Sunday will be more telling.

  21. clingklop

Why didn’t Mo and Goga torch them with horford kornet and porzingis out

  22. General_Dentist_4306

whatever they’re doing during these long gaps in the schedule, aint working

  23. SpideyUdaman

Missed the second half but saw the first half live scores. Priorities at home. I had a feeling Boston would own us when the hole Magic made kept getting deeper and deeper.

Our team is still basically juvenile, including our coach, compared to the tried and tested veterans out there. But we’re probably the best if not one of the best youthly teams in the league. Trust in whatever we’re building since we’ve got amazing components to build with.

  24. SonicNarcotic

Not to worry, we’re so far ahead of where I thought we’d be before the season kicked off, we’re playing with house money at this point…

  25. Effective_Owl_17

Gotta hold on to the basketball, giving up easy transition buckets and momentum with every turnover. Killed the game

  26. 300_yard_drives

Damn our spacing is abysmal. With Harris and Ingles not making 3s we struggle. The Celtics just forced AB and Goga to beat us and while they put up decent numbers they hey were kinda crap considering the coverage they went against

  27. [deleted]

Magic fans: Markelle fultz is one of the worst guards in the league, he provides zero spacing, is a shot chucker and ball hog, and Anthony black is lowkey better.

Also magic fans: can we package Gary Harris and fultz for a scoring point guard??

  28. bonafide89

At least the homie Jalen Suggs is doing his thing fellas

  29. VoidTyrant

It happens boys , being a young team means going through peaks and valleys

  30. Herban_Myth

Need better efficiency from our 2 stars.

Can’t allow teams to outscore us every quarter (besides the 4th).
