The lineup we have playing crunch time is completely independent of the Westbrook trade. The roster still feels mismanaged.

This teams problem is that our defensive guys suck ass most of the time offensively and our offensive guys can’t guard anyone that is slightly athletic

I’m honestly warming up to the idea of firing ham. The cavs fired blatt in 2016 and won the chip. Teams can survive in-season coaching changes. I just don’t know who would replace ham.
I still have hope. Any team with Bron and AD has a chance at the finals. The 2015 cavs went 19-20 and ended up winning 53 games and would’ve won a ring if kyrie and love don’t have season-ending injuries. But damn, the rest of the month looks tough.
LeBron and AD combined had 7 free throws. And both were in the paint most of that game. Refs literally let the other team beat the ish out of em.
Rui only gets 17minutes but prince gets 38 minutes and 13 fucking threes

Ham needs to get Rui more involved in general. We aren’t using him correctly at all.
In terms of salary and expected value, the lakers benching Rui and Dlo in important minutes is like the nuggets benching Gordon and KCP to close games. Idk how we can expect to win games like that.
Either Ham needs to find a way to play them or they need to be gone.
Lakers momentum completely deflated after Randle made that ridiculously tough corner 3 with AD inches away from blocking it. That’s a shot you simply have to live with Randle taking and credit to him for making it. Imagine if Cam held onto the ball with LA on a fast break to suddenly make that a one possession game.
Prince going 3-13, Cam going 2-9, and DLo going a rough 3-10 are the real killers, especially all those wide open 3s from Prince that he kept missing. Ham should’ve pulled Prince much sooner and gave those minutes to Rui or even Christian Wood.
I would absolutely love for us to say fuck D’Lo already and just play to our main strength which is SIZE. Just start Reaves at PG, I really don’t think D’Lo is much better than him at playmaking. Line up should be:

The issues with this team are very obvious. Hiring a rookie coach for a team with championship aspirations made no sense. And we lack a decent backup center
Sometimes it feels like we are watching a different game. What killed us is when the Knicks’ bench blitzed us at the end of third quarter. The team on the floor fell asleep and they went on an 8-0 run, putting us in a deep hole.
We need more Vando (and Reddish to not be in foul trouble) on the floor, which will allow us to play less prince. Otherwise Rui is too slowfooted for small forwards/3’s. We also should have battles for more position toward the paint at the end.
What the fuck was the point of resigning Rui if we dont play him
I’m over Ham at this point.
1.) In one presser last year, he claimed facts over feelings when it came to playing struggling players, yet all I’m see is nothing but feelings with his stubbornness to keep playing players when they don’t have it.
2.) I get letting players figure it out, but if letting them figure it out means constantly letting opposing teams go on 10+ point runs before a timeout is called then you don’t need to be here.
3.) His line-up decisions have been dogshit. Played struggling DLo constantly against the Nuggets in the WCF? Refusing to give Rui minutes especially when TP didn’t have it tonight when we desperately needed buckets?
4.) His hard-on for running a shitty zone defense when it’s not effective at all.
I want to support Darvin, but his stubbornness and clear lies of what he said how he was gonna coach is making it very difficult. Outside of one good series against the Warriors in the playoffs, what has he done? I’ll eat crow if he proves me wrong cause I want us to succeed, but frankly, I’m waiting to hear the news of his firing if it ever happens. Want to be stubborn like Mike Budenhozer you can be unemployed like Mike Budenhozer.
