Trade him. The team plays better without him
Some of the examples of failed attempts to move a disgruntled player that got awkward, as described but not named by Matt Peck (7:06), might be:
– Ben Simmons
– James Harden leaving Houston; or
– Or the Kyrie Irving situation with the Nets who eventually sent him to Dallas
He’s probably not leaving before the deadline so when he comes back it’s off the bench. To start a 2nd qtr with Carter Ayo Lavine Craig and Drummond would be alright
If there is no market for Zach as plenty of GMs keep saying then keep Zach and build up his value for the off season. Bulls don't really feel pressure to trade Zach.

The more I see Coby doing his thing on the court…..the more I STRONGLY believe that for all of Zach's work ethic (taking care of his body, improving his skillset, etc.) Lavine has NEVER stepped foot in the game room and watch film. Hence his low basketball IQ.
It won’t be uncomfortable and awkward because he’s still on the bench cheering the guys on. You can see he still has a great relationship with his teammates. It would be different if he was completely away from the team but Zach is a professional.
He HAS to go (or sit until the off-season). He cannot disrupt the group right now.
