Watching them the last few games I think they are better without Dray. Other guys are stepping up. Build around the younger guys plus Wiggs and Klay.
Steph hurt the Celtics using screens twice in the finals. V hard to guard
Why Jason ure changing ure statement with regards to warriors Steph Curry team 😢
my man is giving us the best analysis ive ever seen for the NBA. Great stuff
Mailbag Question: Hey Jason, how do you explain Kerrs suspect rotations and decisions? From what I have seen all over twitter, the fanbase agrees that Trayce Jackson Davis should play more. At least, over Looney. He has been clearly better than Looney the entire season and Kerr only plays him as a last resort.
i like when jason says "reasonable facsimile" i couldnt tell u why lol
Steph Curry is a “system player”? He pretty much can fit into any system. Put him on the Celtics? Or on the Nuggets with Giannis, do you think anybody has to adapt to Steph? He can play off ball or be primary ball handler. He can get all his buckets in an area of the court that doesn’t take away from anybody else’s game.
Warriors play a system to maximize Steph’s impact, but that’s because Steph’s ludicrous versatility allows them to use a system to cover up OTHER players’ deficiencies (small, unathletic, zero rim pressure from bigs) , not Steph’s.
If he had Giannis, or even a Siakkam, can you imagine?
The word Jason is looking for regarding the high motor athletes is “slotting”. It’s one of the most important concepts in lineup construction
Lol his lakers takes are gonna get so comical. Can’t blame him. If I had a pod you’d know I’d be a homer
people dont realize how good denvers starting 5 actually is. It really is a group of players that compliment each other perfectly and are all some of the most efficient players in the league. Like take aaron gordon im not sure theres a better 4 to play next to jokic than him. imma be honest nobody beating them if theyre healthy
Yoooo! Thanks for answering my mailbag question about the Celtics. It hurts how right you are about the Celtics short comings. Hope the J’s can pull it out this year.
Two words: Naz Reid.
Right?
Timberwolves fan here, listen no team is going to beat us if we're fully healthy!
You didn’t say who’s number 6 41:49
54:23 Bad take lumping Boston with Philly there. Boston established a +9 net rating beating good teams (they have the toughest in the league so far), whereas Philly with +12 net rating has been dominating bad teams which is a clear reason they have the 6th easiest schedule to date.
Jason, that's exactly why the IST is a huge joke. Lakers clearly only play hard for those games. Just regular games tho. Tell me how that tournament means anything at all but a distraction.
Draymond suspension AND GP2 injury AND Wiggins poor defensive play – that’s the 3 best Warriors defenders out of service or reduced defense.
who can the warrior get tho
The question about the Warriors had nothing to do with Draymond. It was about Kerr's choice to bench Wiggins and reduce Klay's playing time in favor of putting in Kuminga and Podzjiemski. Many Warriors fans have been clamoring for the four young players with potential — Kuminga, Moody, Podz and Trayce Jackson-Davis to get more of a shot, and growing impatient with Wiggins not showing his best game. You jumped on that train on a recent show after not being on board all year. Was the point.
People keeping receipts but have no idea how to apply context and nuance to them. You're great for answering these people Jason!
Wait what? Warriors fan here. You have been crazy consistent and laid out your logic clearly. Those were two good wins but dubs have a lot of work to do.
If the Lakers are depending on Austin Reaves, they ain’t going no where.
Okc fools gold man bright future but they a 1rst round exit man unless they play kings
Do you film your men’s league games? Would love to watch the championship 😂
heyy JT what did u think of the warriors win vs the blazers where klay dropped 28, i saw the highlights of that game and was wondering what u thought about that game
Power rankings be like “Boston number 1. Alright enough talk about them let’s wrap it up”
I think the pacers have a problem with dominant big men. AD and Giannis feasted on them.
Jaylin williams has a pretty good 3pt shot and the thunder beat the suns with beal and kd but no booker.
As a Celtics fan I’m terrified of the Twolves. They’re gutting out some impressive wins. Really curious how they handle this touch stretch of games going into January. They’ve done pretty well so far
Hi Jason,
Thank you for acknowledging Khris Middleton. Bucks nation and the NBA world at large are confused about Khris. I'm fn sick of explaining it all the time.
Khris role has changed now and people need to stop holding him to the Robin standard of seasons past. He and Giannis still possess the most impeccable chemistry in the league. His clutch play, ability to rapidly put points on the board, collect rebounds, dish out assists, and his ease of play (never forcing the game), moreover, his COMPOSURE on a charged Bucks team is essential to success. People complain about his mobility and athleticism, and YES there is some decline, but that does not matter for the roster as currently constructed. He'll continue to gain stamina and poise throughout the season.
AJJ, Bucks rookie, he's a badass. That dude got a defensive stop on one end and beat everyone else to the other end for a slam–that's Giannis behavior right there. I get he's a rook and needs to be conditioned for this intensity of play, but his a winner from a championship college team and a winning program. The more Griffin can play AJJ, the better. Especially while we wait for our guy Jae Crowder to return.
Maybe the time I can make a small move by getting like Robert Williams on the trade deadline. I don't think it will cost a lot of pick maybe just one. But that would be like a playoff. Like if they play the nuggets.
