The power of spacing

Last night showed what Cade can do with actual NBA spacing for actual shooters (even though most of the other players stink).

If this isn’t the biggest indictment of a good backup center that is being pigeon holed as a starting 4, I don’t know what is.

  1. Hold on, we need Troy weaver to continue assessing what we have so we don’t make too drastic of a move. I personally hate spacing and think our current system is working flawlessly!!

imo, spacing has not been the issue for the past few games. it really seems like with all the bs that monty says, he actually did deliver a little when he said spacing was important (stupidly obvious thing to say but still, i also forget exactly when he said this)

the problem is we can’t make open shots and we can’t defend in the paint if lives depended on it. not to mention poor rebounding, although we do get crazy unlucky rim bounces on defense. maybe this is my bias showing but idk. rebounding still not perfect. teams also shoot crazy well against us even on contested shots. i don’t have the stats to back this up but i swear every jumper falls even if our guys stick to their man. turnovers and fouls have actually been cleaned up fairly well, at least compared to the beginning of the season. now we just need to focus on fundamentals. and also stop playing Livers and Burks.

Special K was on about this during the broadcast last night. He’s been making some subtle, but noticeable jabs at the FO and coaching more recently
