This stat was more fun when it was KAT *and* Naz like a few weeks ago.
Averaging 22/9.5/3. He has a 26.3 usage rate which is similar to Paul George (26.4) or RJ Barrett (26.7) rn
I know Edwards has been getting so much of the hype for Minnesota, and he’s been great especially for a 22 year old, but Edwards is actually slightly below league average efficiency so far this year. Minnesota’s strength has been the ridiculous frontcourt of KAT/Rudy/Reid, which is putting up a combined 48.4 ppg on 63% true shooting. Towns himself has been instrumental in making those lineups work. They’d still be a very good team without him, but he’s the cherry on top that’s been an absolute matchup nightmare for teams at the 4. The fact that he doesn’t have to force anything has turned him into such a lethal luxury.
Was he actually a PF this whole time?? Seriously, he is so much better at moving laterally than challenging players are the rim. Its like Rudy is his ideal pairing.

After what he went through during the pandemic, I’m really excited to see him thriving, playing great basketball, and getting his deserved praise for it.
Shooting and efficiency have always been there, he’s turned a corner so far this year playing really solid defense and staying really composed in big moments. Happy for him, he’s a good dude

Though 750 minutes seems artificially exclusionary just to say he’s the ‘only’ player lol. That’s 25 games at 30m a game with every team only having played 25-26 games.
Not trying to take anything away from KAT here but we *really* need to change this achievement, it should be 2PT%/3PT%/FT%. It’s dumb as hell that an achievement which is supposed to signify efficiency is penalizing shot diets with a large amount of 3s, even if they’re made at an efficient clip.
Naz Reid doesn’t meet the minutes requirement, but he would also be in this list.

I can’t think of a guy who would thrive more not having to be the main dude than KAT.
This has turned from a weird fit to a great situation and it’s a credit to KAT for accepting that Ant is the guy.
