[Mark Rosen] I am thinking of my long time friend and colleague, Tom Hanneman who sadly passed way too soon and how much he would have enjoyed this season after decades of covering the misery of Wolves ineptitude.

Pour one out for all the timberwolves homies watching this season from heaven

Ugh, what a bummer for faithful fans that never get to see the greener pastures. I’m coming up on 40 and have only seen a conference finals appearance. If we run it back the same way in the 2nd half of my life it’s not impossible that I could reach old age and still never see it.

Hopefully that’s not a conversation that needs to continue beyond this year though.

My parents had season tickets for 20 years. It was their thing even though target center was a 2 plus hour drive. My mother passed away 5 years ago. She would be smiling seeing these twolves do their thing

There was this old season ticket holder who printed the programs and scouting reports for the Timberwolves when they became a team. He had been to over 1050 games when he passed away. I regularly think about Warren and hope he’s able to enjoy this from wherever he is watching. He was the most hopeful wolves fan I had ever met, I wish he was here for this!

  6. Hanneman is my dog. Just a Grade A human being. Nothing but class. He’ll always be with the Wolves in spirit and maybe he’s off pulling strings somewhere yonder.

I was fortunate enough to have a short interaction with Hanny around the 09 or 10 season. We both talked about the struggle of the franchise at the time and how it was looking like a long road ahead to build something special. Even though he knew we were awful, he still tried to hold a little optimism and stayed positive in hopes our prospects at the time would be franchise cornerstones leading the team to greener pastures. Sadly, that never happened. Wish he could be here to enjoy this current squad.
