(Dammarell) According to Fischer, Bickerstaff’s job is safe, and the Cavs are looking to move Ricky Rubio’s contract leading up to the trade deadline.

Can someone give me a good reason why JB’s job is safe? Other than the fact he finished fourth last season before getting completely outcoached in a 4-5 playoff series to lose 1-4. His job is safe because his dad is head of basketball operations and front office and ownership are all best buddies

You answered your question in your post. It’s because his dad is the head of basketball operations.

Because none of you know what you’re talking about?

Think the players love JB and he keeps a good lockeroom. I think his choice of staff is failing him though. Sydney Lowe is a notorious terrible coach and Luke Walton is failure after failure. We need an offensive coordinator who knows how to use Garland like Steve Nash and Mitchell like Dwyane Wade.

Because changing coaches on a young team trying to find an identity is not a winning formula.

JB didn’t get out coached last year. The team got outplayed by the other team. JB didn’t give up all of those offensive rebounds. JB didn’t commit those turnovers. JB didn’t miss those shots.

Put some responsibility on the players.

His job is safe because there’s nobody better to replace him with.

  6. the hawks got a new coach and look where that got them, somehow worse

Thanks Rick for everything. Now it’s time to turn that contract into some help for this ailing squad.
