  1. A veteran player such as Tobias Harris will probably take less money in free agency to play for a contender rather than playing for a rebuilding team. Pistons should stay clear until of him until free agency.

  2. OG Anunoby would be a fail with this team. This team needs a 2nd or 3rd leading scorer, rebounding, and help side defenders. OG imo isn't going to develop into more than what he is now. His shooting is ok, but not elite, and if you lose BOJAN you need another elite scorer and shooter that can put up similar number as CADE 24+ppg. I just do see him ever averaging more than 16ppg, and his shooting percentages want go over 36% from 3pt. We need a star player until at least Jaden IVEY understand he needs to be the next best score next to Cade and BOJAN getting at least 20+ppg for us to win more games. Duren needs to also be a better shot blocker and help side defender.

  3. Lance is really undervaluing OG. We're not even sure if this is a real down season for him because it's less than 30 games into the season and stuff like shooting %s can vary over stretches of games. He may go on a 10 game stretch of elite shooting and that will bring his season averages up. But even if this turns out to be a down season, OG has 3 straight previous seasons of solid shooting %s. Teams will weigh that more than this brief down period imo. And sure his steals are down likely due to change in defensive scheme by new coach, but his defense is still elite at the wing position. He's gonna be a 30 mil per year guy for sure especially given the new tv deal teams will have higher cap to work with

  4. if weaver is smart he would be looking at pat williams from bulls, not og or tobias. Pat is currently showing real potential to be a good if not great 3 and D wing in the near future. His 3pt shooting is comparable to prime OG and his defense is somewhat comparable but not as polished. However he is only 22 years old and definitely still developing his overall game which has been stunted thanks to bulls relegating him to minor roles for most of his career so far. Best part is he is an under the radar guy in the NBA I don't believe teams are high on him and that goes double for the bulls. He's on the last year of his rookie deal so the pistons could negotiate a relatively cheap sign and trade for pat something like 4 years 80 mil would be good value and pistons likely would be able to keep their core guys. At worst pat's floor is a good 3 and D wing which is the type of player the pistons can definitely use, and he could develop into another OG level player in a couple years which would be a steal at that hypothetical contract. And who knows maybe this plays out like lauri situation and he blows up beyond anything people expect from him currently, like what if he reaches his potential as a very close approximation of kawhi like people thought he could be when he was first drafted? Its a stretch but he has the physical gifts for it. Low risk high reward move imo

  5. When is the last time the Pistons had a Superstar or at least an All Star caliber
    player
The Pistons for years keep trying to pick up a bunch of role players and
    put them together
We need a guy who can put butts in seats
