We played a good team on the road and played them tough. Nothing wrong with losing a game like this.

Refs aside, our bench was awful tonight and was the main reason we lost. They were negative across the board and just didn’t give us anything tonight.

  2. unwinagainstable

I hate watching the Sixers play. Their bullshit is effective but sucks to watch.

  3. dys0n_giddey

That first quarter set the tone, our bigs just weren’t allowed/willing to play physical D after that.

Not taking advantage of the non-Embiid minutes (and letting Maxey cook) made it impossible for a comeback…

1 loss, on to the next one…

  4. Therealrickyrubio

incredibly tough game to win. They definitely outplayed us. Props to us for staying calm and composed for the most part. We played well sometimes you just get fucked a little bit by Embiid, as many free throws as he drew, he just made an absurd amount of mid ranges – props to him.

  5. U-casualty

Bummer of a game. Let’s beat the Lakers tomorrow

  6. schamburglar

The Sixers are a team you’d ask AI that to create but only if that AI only knows about the regular season: I’d like to win as many games as possible and my only strategy is to get to the free throw line as much as possible. I do not care if fans enjoy watching the team.

  7. PointGodAsh

Hard to play when the refs won’t let you. Bounce back game tomorrow.

  8. Aimless_Scrolls

The refs really said let’s fuck the wolves tonight

  9. buchanbasanee

Whatever, don’t want to fight with 6er homers. GG, Maxey is a beast, gonna wait for the next game.

  10. Game sucked, we all saw what happened. Move on and kick the shit out of the Lakers tomorrow.

  11. Uzi_jesus

All of Philly and the refs can fuck right off. Unreal how lopsided the whistle is with flop god. We gotta make more shots though and stop making terrible passes.

  12. Thank god we don’t gotta play that disgrace to the sport the rest of the season

  13. ChbbyKttns

Turned it off to watch something else that wasn’t ref ball. On to the next one

  14. chillinwithmoes

Boy do I hate that Philly team. The most absurd whistle on the planet

  15. I’m okay with losing, but it’s not fun watching our team that plays good defense, get called for fouls over and over playing the same way we’ve been playing all season. I’m heartened to know that the officiating should be better in the playoffs, but makes for a disinteresting game to watch in the regular season. Oh well, let’s beat the Lakers tomorrow.

  16. GarrethGrey

Least enjoyable viewing experience by a wide margin this year. Could have still won it, but it is what it is. Frustrating, but on to the next.

  17. pm_me_ur_tigols

Fuck Philly overall, but mostly Embiid. Maxey, you’re cool, but shave that bullshit off your chin. On to the next one

  18. BarackSays

Tough loss. We had our chances but just couldn’t make a shot in the 4th when it mattered. Refs were awful. Thank god we are in the western conference, if I had to see this Sixers bullshit on a semi-regular basis I would have broken so many TVs. Extremely grateful for the win on Monday now.

Also, I hate Philly teams and Philly fans more than I can put into words.

  19. Piano9717

I just want to know how you’re supposed to guard Embiid when he’s getting that kind of whistle.

  20. starfruit213

Bench sucked it up big time tonight. Slomo is having far too many dumb decisions for a vet and why was Shake even in the game?

1st quarter showed we were fucked regardless

  21. Pyschic_Psycho

Embiid and Maxey shot as many free throws as the ENTIRE MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES TEAM.

    Fuck Embiid.
    Fuck Silver.
    Fuck the NBA.

Rigged as game. Whatever. Okay now I’m over it. Onto the next one.

  22. vikings12886

Thank god we don’t have to play them again this year. I can’t stand watching Embiid

  23. TreeAgenda

Jaden was *really* cooking in the first half and then we went away from him entirely. I didn’t like that:(

  24. SemataryPolka

I love Finch but Goberts foul trouble didn’t necessitate playing only 24 minutes. That’s a head scratcher.

    Guess he’ll be fresher tomorrow.

  25. WrinkledRandyTravis

Falling Knife needs a competitor. Please for the love of god, can some bar owner in the metro area please see this. They want Dane to advertise them as THEE place to come watch the wolves and they had trivia going over game audio tonight. Please oh god please give us somewhere we can reliably watch the games

  26. Twice on embiid drives in the second half their male announcer straight up said the quiet part out loud. He straight up admitted I don’t know who fouled, didn’t see any specific contact, but “must have been a foul somewhere”

  27. goingtothegreek

Gobert got fouled off the floor, same with KAT, and Naz is not a 5. Refs reward Embiid’s garbage playstyle and it opens up his whole game, and mouth breathing sixers fans get validated into thinking he’s an MVP. I’m convinced it’s a conspiracy.

Still, we’ve found ways to win despite bad refs this year. Onto the next one.

  28. Gobert_Clamped_Luka_

Best thing about Embiid is you only have to watch him once a year at most. He ducks Rudy on the road almost every single year of their careers.

  29. Ok_Excuse_3695

I’ll never understand how KAT can get played so physically but then I have to watch Embiid get tapped and him just flop around for a foul call.

  30. We could have still won that, but we lost composure. From coach to player.

  31. Skolcialism

What’s the lesson guys? Do not watch Sixers games. It’s boring end to end.

  32. a5sinceday5

lol at the sixers fans here to defend their prince

  33. verify_deez_nuts

I wouldn’t even be mad about the loss if they just allowed them to try to play defense in the paint. I think we lose anyway because we turned the ball over too many times and we put up too many bricks on the arc, but Jesus Christ there’s so many unnecessary whistles in the paint.

  34. GZAofTheMidwest

Y’all, we’re still 20-6 and tied for the best record in the NBA. We lost to one of the top five teams in the league on the road. Don’t lose any sleep over it.

  35. The-Borax-Kidd

Embiid is actually the perfect counter for Minnesota, unfortunately.

Our team’s main strength is the interior defence our big guys provide. That is neutered hard by the fact that you are not allowed to defend Embiid.

Our big guys have a choice between staying a foot away from him at all times and fouling out.

People were talking about how he “wasn’t foul baiting” in the second half. Obviously. At that point the foul trouble had done its job.

That’s the insidious part of Embiid’s game. People act like it is just the free throws… but once he’s baited enough free throws, he is able to score easier because players aren’t allowed to play defense on him.
