Holy shit you’re all right about that nba sub. It’s honestly insane… the amount of disrespect and cognitive dissonance that leads to this Embiid hate. No other player or team gets this constant cope and whining in order to try to delegitimize their success. It’s weird. It’s fucking annoying.

  2. dabigchina

Imagine having 2 max centers and allowing the opposing center to hang 51 on you.

  3. Prestigious-Rock201

Nurse has change this team, the best part is this looks to be the most wide open the league has been in years

  4. It’s so weird seeing the /r/nba talk about Embiid.

40 points in 3 quarters against Detroit: He’s not even FT merchanting anymore but it’s just Detroit who cares

50 points against Minnesota: FREE THROW MERCHANT WTF MOST UNWATCHABLE SUPERSTAR THIS IS ALL HE DOES

Make up your damn mind. Even if you want to say 10 of his FTA were fraudulent, he still put up 41 and we win.

  5. ![gif](giphy|LAKIIRqtM1dqE|downsized)

Find your jimmies getting rustled over the latest pile of shit on the main league sub?

This one washes away the ick from Monday. Just the basketball ick, mind you.

  6. viewbot01

Good game but dam only Embiid and Maxey scored over 9 pts.

  7. economist_

What a great win. MVPiid in the house utterly trashing the DPOY candidates. Maxey was fantastic. Dominated all around in the fourth quarter including the minutes without Embiid.

  8. Highest point differentials in the NBA:

    LAC +6.3

    MIN +6.8

    OKC +7.2

    BOS +8.6

    PHI +11.3

Yeah we’re only 7-7 against “good” teams but we’ve only been in 3 “close” (within 3 point) games ALL YEAR (1-2) and are **13-3** in games decided by 10 or more. We fucking clobber every team we play against for the most part.

  9. CPTHoagie

I LOVE Nurse doing the Phil Jackson thing with Embiid. He praised him but he’s like ehhh whatever 51 is cool. Get better.

  10. TrimmedAndBurning

r/nba is always toxic against the Sixers obviously, but as a whole, I think they were at their worst tonight.

  11. Consistent-Elk2188

Is it just me or can you not see likes on rnba Reddit?

  12. the_winter_woods

shout out Marcus Morris with the team high +23 and some great D on Towns during that Embiid-less 4th quarter run.

Nick Nurse presser and he’s praising Tobi’s energy and defense. Defended Towns and Edwards tonight.

We can talk about trades tomorrow. Tonight is a good win.

  13. PoppaJMoney

That is a baddddd man! Holy hell Joel! Vs Rudy too!!!

  14. Johnnyboy2825

Ever since the 2017 NFCCG, I have always loved beating Minnesota teams. Just fun knowing how fucking salty their fans always are lol.

  15. Lurkerwasntaken

We have the MVP and Tyrese Maxey. Have a good night everybody!

  16. HappyGooner45

We can beat anyone as long as 21 is playing, end of argument.

  17. ClassifiedTuron

Even the Raptors fans weren’t this delusional. We ended up with MORE fouls, their star player shot them out of the game (+TOs), and their TWO centers were outclassed by Joel singlehandedly.

Glad we were the team who humbled them back to reality.

  18. Not sure what’s more impressive, Jo and Max going for 86 or Tobi going for 9 on ten shots

  19. oumpa_loumpa

marcus morris with highest team pt differential (+23)

  20. jappixslackbot

That is one of the most impressive two man carries I’ve seen in that fourth quarter. Even moreso because Tobi and Oubre were selling. Constant mistakes from them two for the entire quarter.

  21. jappixslackbot

If someone who didn’t know what an offensive foul was watched that game alone, they would still have no idea what an offensive foul is.

  22. p3p3_silvia

Every time someone tells me how great Rudy’s defense is I remember Ben who couldn’t score on a six foot guard get almost fifty on him.

  23. jeppsforst

Btw the Bulls just beat the Lakers tonight by 16. People overreacted way too hard to that one loss. They are a legitimately good team since LaVine went down. 7-3 in the last 10 with wins over Bucks, Heat, Sixers, Lakers, Pelicans

  24. Philly-lifegoeson

In the last two games against the T Wolves, Embiid has our scored Gobert by 76 points.

  25. WraithTwelve

Joel Embiid owns the fraudulent wolves. Send da video.

  26. thesixersdontexist

tonight’s dub is up there with the most memorable wins so far this season, next to the celtics win and the maxey 50 piece against the pacers

  27. Celtics and Raptors fans have an excuse to hate on Embiid. But I’ve seen it all, im convinced that r/nba hates Embiid more than we hate Colangelo, Doc, and Tobias Harris contract combined. Fucking weirdos dedicating their lives and posting history to straight hate for Embiid.

  28. ranchsauce13

After the last game against the Bulls there was a bunch of Embiid hate but I’m glad to see he shut them all up

  29. Pork_Sister

How can you guys watch this team 82 times in a year? It’s most unwatchable style of basketball I’ve ever seen.

  30. Brianopolis-Brians

This is the second time my girlfriend and I have seen Embiid drop 50. Who wants to send us to more games?

  31. MaxeytoEmbiid

    Game thoughts:

-Joel Embiid is the most unstoppable, movable force in recent NBA history. Putting up Wilt/Kareem numbers. Do not take this for granted.

-Embiid/Maxey: 86 pts, 11 AST combined. Absolutely insane.

-Speaking of Maxey, I will always stand on that hill with this emerging superstar. I talked about variance, I talked about how some good shots just didn’t go in, it happens.

-What needs to happen less is these role players, god damn it we need them to hit shots this season. The Embiid/Maxey usage and production is ridiculous and we need that 3rd guy to be able to beat Milwaukee/Bos in a 7-game series.

  32. NicCage1080ChristAir

Every game with Nurse makes me hate Doc Rivers more. Such a refreshing difference.

  33. Aggressive-Cut5836

Refreshing for me coming off the latest Eagles stinker (I live on the west coast so don’t get to see many Sixers games usually).

  34. bruhboi2222

i hate the notion that embiid won’t get the same calls in the playoffs when he still has near 10 fta for the past 4 seasons in the playoffs.

literally the only thing stopping him is injuries.

  35. Knight725

turns out joel embiid is good at basketball

    who knew
