What a terrible take, he butt hurt that when he tried to come back after so many years to get his number, 15(aka jokers number) retired after he left and fell flat

Melo was great on the thuggets but I think dame would beat him, if both in their prime

  2. fatcasanova

Trading Melo for the draft pick that ultimately became Jamal was (one of) the best things to ever happen to this organization

  3. NuggAvsBroncRock

Yeah Melo but you still have not even sniff winning a title when u left

  4. JustinTinyPPHerbert

The draft pick we got from your trash ass is better than you

  5. Shenanigans80h

Lillard has more 1st Team All NBA, and twice as many 2nd Team All NBA selections as Melo did. They’re not on the same level and Melo likening his situation to Dame’s is fucking silly.

Though I will say this, Melo isn’t wrong about “loyalty” killing him. But it was his loyalty to NY that ended any chance at getting a ring considering he chose there over actual contenders back in the day

See? This is why people can’t fucking stand you Melo. Even today, you talk shit. And you have ZERO self-awareness. To even put himself in the “loyalty” category with Dame…it’s mind-boggling.

As much as I’ve hated on Melo since the trade, I’ve slowly allowed my feelings to soften. To even be open to some sort of reconciliation. Not that he deserves it. And then a quote like this comes out.

I’m glad your clown ass fell off a cliff and you had to retire irrelevant and teamless. Go sell some more José Cuervo or whatever.

“And you stayed for whole lot longer than I did”

  8. Dude’s wife, Lala, was dictating where his punk ass was playing.

Spare me this shit, MF and keep my city’s name out yo mouth!

Melo and Dame are 2 of the most overrated, overly self aggrandizing players in NBA history. Neither deserved NBA 75. As Melo would say, “fuck outta here.”

  11. estarguars

Yea except not really, Dame went to Milwaukee to play second fiddle. Melo went to NY as the first option, he just wasn’t good enough for a Finals run.

Melo can fuck off and die for all I care. Brought us a bunch of 1st round exits

  13. BasedTroy

This isn’t even like comparing apples to oranges, it’s like comparing apples to a whopper from Burger King

  14. minimallyviablehuman

Melo left and had less success. The man is delusional.

Melo was (Checks notes)… the CLOSEST he was ever to a championship in Denver with GK, AI, et al.

Team ball wins championships. Jokic’s humble mindset is a guiding light into not just winning basketball, but how to make those around us happy and build a tribe

    Melo is the opposite.

God mother fucking damn does this Nuggets team do shit fucking right.

Edit: Tribes by Sebastian junger is an incredible book.

Worked out great for Denver, Melo not so much.
