  1. That was not the shot I was hoping for. Please let us beat the Warriors so I can forget about this.

Jerami Grant airball. Just what we wanted to see.

    The tank rolls on lmao.

Here were my thoughts from the game:

THAT is the play out of the timeout?????

    Positives:

    * Ant – Ayton PnR looks better this game. And Ayton is starting to become more involved offensively, and set better screens too. He seems to be getting a better sense of where to be offensively on the court and where his opportunities will come. More of this please.
    * I thought Reath played pretty well. He had a couple of ticky-tack fouls but he spread the floor, set good screens, and hustled.
    * That being said, I thought Chauncey made a good decision going to that small ball lineup with Camara, Grant, and Jabari at the 3/4/5, and switching everything. It’s really the only lineup we had that looked decent defensively.
    * Daniel Gafford is a damn good player, and super underrated. He was so impactful defensively.
    * ANFERNO FOURTH QUARTER. Sucks that he missed the layup at the end but he dragged us back into the pretty much singlehandedly.

    Negatives:

    * We saw the downside of aggressively crashing the offensive glass against a young, fast, athletic Wizards team. If you don’t get the offensive board it’s gonna be a runout on the other end, and the Wizards just annihilated us in transition.
    * Toumani injured ☹
    * Ayton’s hands. I have never ever seen a big more unable to catch passes or not get the ball poked away in my life. I knew his hands weren’t great, but I didn’t know they were THIS bad. He caused 6 or 7 turnovers in the first half alone just by either getting the ball poked away, or dropping passes.
    * Not Scoot’s best game. Oh well, onto the next one.

Stings tonight but those kind of losses are going to be crucial for the draft lottery.

  5. ShaedonSharpe4Life

I smell a Ant fifty piece coming real soon…

  6. Witty-Version-713

I’m so tired of Jerami Grant being on this team

  7. Well the end of that sure showcased two teams desperately trying to lose the game.

  8. Carcrusher3

    Pain.

At least Ant got his 41 guy is a certified fucking baller

  9. How was Ant not the one shooting that last shot CHAUNCEY?!

  10. ScootSharpe0017

Lost to fucking Kuzma and Poole. I’m going to drink and forget this ever happened.

  11. kalebglover

41 points and 22 in the 4th but doesn’t get the final shot

  12. TemporaryMassive7246

Chauncey is either an idiot or has been ordered to tank no matter what.

  13. fightfil96

I thought the play we ran with Ant when there was 13 seconds left was pretty much unstoppable. If it could take less than 5.8 it seemed like the best option

  14. Ishfluent

The final play call should get Chauncey fired. The Blazers legitimately have the worst coach in the league. That’s even with the Pistons on a 25 game losing streak.

  15. Bieberkinz

We floundered, came back, choked, came back again, only to snatch a loss from the jaws of victory.

The story of this year’s Blazers

  16. Fuzzy-Sheepherder-12

How does Ant not get the ball there? The math isn’t mathing

  17. rexter2k5

I’m devastated. I don’t want to expect to win. But this was such a punky way to lose.

  18. _hamtheman

Tuned in halfway through and I think I saw Jerami throw at least three of those leftys and didn’t hit the rim once

… So of course that’s what Chauncey drew up for the win

  19. drunkenyeknom

We seriously didn’t let Ant get the chance to finish it?? Smh on JG for even accepting to go with this bum ass play

  20. idoitforthelulz_

DA with 23 points and 16 rebounds. Solid game.

  21. Haze_Shadez

Ayton has heart but no hands, that blown layup at the end was brutal. Happy to see our guys fight the whole game though, building a culture where we are never out of the game is high on my priority list as a fan.

  22. bigtrackrunner

Billups, Grant, and Ayton came through to keep us in the Sarr sweepstakes

  23. LordClive88

Surely Billups must be fired. How can you set up that final play with a serious face? In what universe do you not set up the final play for Simons? He has 22 points FOR THE QUARTER! Someone explain this to me please!

  24. redwheelbarrow_

Maybe set the final play for the guy carrying us in the fourth. Just maybe.

  25. Absolute *CLUTCH* playcall from Chauncey, and miss from Grant, to secure the tank. Well done bois

  26. ElGuapoador

At this point the Pistons can’t wait to come to town to end their losing streak…
