Sochan does it most but Devin and KJ miss him a lot too. First 10 games or so it’s understandable but 25+ games in??

Jeremy it takes EFFORT to pass over and away from a 7’4 dude
CrissCrossAppleSos
I’m sorry but I still think that this was clearly the right play
Edit: like, high P&R, 2 on ball, help man tags the roller, kick out weak side shooter whose man left to tag said roller is pick and roll basketball 101. If Sochan isn’t going to make that pass to Osman, there’s absolutely no reason for Carter to ever guard him, and he can help on Wemby with impunity

Remember when we cut Luka Samanic after a low effort play? Jeremy cmon

This situation wasn’t on my bingo card.

I would not fault someone for thinking Jeremy doesn’t like Wemby based on how many times Sochan could get him the ball but doesn’t even try.

I take comfort in thinking that if they can’t outgrow their terrible, terrible basketball IQ, these players will be off this team sooner rather than later. At least, that’s what I tell myself.
BeanBryant248
As a non-spurs fan it does legitimately look like your team is actively refusing to pass to wemby because it takes genuine effort to throw the ball over the head of a 7’4 player
deneuvig
Jeremy is such a different player from last year, kind of weird. So many blown reads today
moonshadow50
I don’t get you guys.
Just coz Wemby is tall, when he’s being manned up by another 7 footer, with 2 other defenders around him, it’s not always the best option to just throw it to him.
Wemby’s gravity gave Cedi space, and then the defence had to overcompensate on Cedi’s drive which created space inside for Wemby.
This is Pop’s offence 101. Always keep the ball moving looking for the open guy.
CodeBlueLegacy
I count three Bulls around Wemby with an open Cedi who caught the pass and drove and made the right play.
They’re are many things to call out as far as missed passes, this isn’t one.
International-Chef53
Wemby be like: “I should go to Rockets instead of playing with these clown, even Piston is not so bad”
bonkerino00
Sochan needs that Tony Parker treatment. Or bench his ass until he becomes a willing passer to Wemby.

Nah, this is getting embarrassing.

LoL! Every commentator in the NBA is seeing what I and many others have been saying since Summer League.
They are actively avoiding the pass to Wemby.
In Summer League y’all said everyone was just trying to show out for themselves.
Preseason doesn’t count.
It’s too early in the season.
What now?
Stop making excuses for bad players.
introvertedguy13
Pop needs to assert that right now, Wemby is #1.
It seems that these youngsters are not being held accountable.
How do you develop your future franchise player when his teammates don’t look for him?
Imagine having your future franchise player getting unsatisfied and pissed off at his first season…
JerrytheKient
Really unfair to Jeremy at this point as he’s not a point guard.
There’s been some bad misses this season but that one is a hard pass for even an experienced PG to make.
Live_Disk_1863
Put Vassal and Johson in the G league until they learn to pass to the open man.
Getting cringe now
Live_Disk_1863
This has been going on since the very first game of this season. With multiple examples per game.
It takes some time for casuals to catch on.

Sochan is the worst.
amofai
Look at how Osman raises his and Sochan immediately passes to him. Both of them acknowledged that Cedi was the open man here. I don’t get the outrage from this clip. Wemby’s presence is what allowed Osman to be so open.

After this season the spurs must get at least 2 point guards a starter and a veteran backup, and get rid of the guys that are either jealous or don’t know how to play with Victor wembanyama, as much as this form has hated on Zach Collins, I have repeatedly said the spurs biggest problems were the point guard situation, the young guys on the team jealous of Victor wembanyama and refusing to pass him the ball, and how the this team is being coached, the complaining about Zach Collins a backup center on a bad team starting was why overblown, the spurs have to figure out which of their young guys fit with Victor wembanyama.
