it wasn’t the durant trade it was getting beal that fucked them over. sure trade CP3 an injury prone guard that’s on the decline, but don’t go get another injury prone guard who’s going to be on the decline in beal like wtf? he’s not even that good of a playmaker idk why they’d put him at the 1? Booker clearly works better with the ball in his hands and beal was always a better off ball scorer with wall.
We are at the point where trading for a superstar does not pay off anymore. Having 2-3 good role players that do their job well is way better than having a 2nd or 3rd star nowadays.
I thought we all had admit it right as they made it. They gave up so much depth for him and players like Mikal and Cam were one of the main reasons they had such a deep run in 2021.
