Boston Celtics bounce back! Kristaps Porzingis, Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, lead balanced attack

The Celtics got 20 or more from five different guys, led by Derrick White and Jaylen Brown, on their way to a very nice bounceback win over the Sacramento Kings. This was an important win after the previous night’s loss, and it was especially good for Kristaps Porzingis, who helped fuel another nice third quarter. John Karalis of Boston Sports Journal gets into all that, and why Joe Mazzulla would probably like to frame this game.

  1. let the trainer's do the medical work- Porzingis did play 65 games this year- as for Tatum don't play hurt- you can't

  2. Celtics won because Tatum didnt play and force bad shots off iso ball. They played team ball.

  3. KP really is a beast when healthy. His defense is so surprising. I can't ever remember anyone talking about his defense before he came to the Celtics and started balling.

  4. I've been a Jaylen Brown critic, but he is in the process of proving me wrong. I love it. If he's going to play like this then he's worth every penny.

  5. First. Awesome awesome t shirt! Where did you get it?

Second. I was at the game and the kings fans got into it by the early 10 pt lead and then were completely out of it three minutes later because the C’s stayed focused.

  6. The lineup of Holiday with the bench works. Surprising but awesome. I thought it was weird at first but that was a clutch line up for maintaining the focus in the game

  7. Thought I heard whispers of KP not being a good defender before the season started. Man did KP shut those people up he is a beast of a rim protector!!

  8. I mean, this win was nice and all, but the Warriors game destroyed every last bit of hope I had for this team. Every single bad habit that keeps getting them bounced in the playoffs showed back up. It proved to me that they haven't changed any of the important parts of their game. They're just the same old team with a new coat of paint.

  9. any good coach will call a time-out if there team is losing or the other team going on a run to atleast try and stop it or slow the run down sometimes it works sometimes it dont work but you have to try it cant just stand there and watch coaching is apart of winning #banner18 ☘️

  10. Dude, I might be crazy, obviously KP and Horford are our best bigs….but I’m getting some Rob Williams vibes from Queta….he is new, but I think once this get gets stronger, and develops, this guy will be a force in a couple years, I hope we keep him….i can see him being a trading piece but I hope not…this guy has something special about him, like he is the rebound whisperer or something. If he strengthens his knees to avoid potential injury, we might have something unique here with him.

  11. As usual great show John. Love the humor with the James Harden quote "What system…I am the system' when adjustments are needed.

  12. Tatum should just stop playing if he is injured. He messed up the last Miami game last year too. As for the Sacramento game, I am surprised you didn't talk about the contributions of some of the other players like Pritchard and Queta.

  13. I think the biggest difference in this game was we say what the offense looked like when holiday and white are the initiators of the offense

  14. Can we not use that TPE, from Grant Williams, to get a solid back up big. I don't understand this TPE stuff we get them, and it seems we almost never use them. I guess, if we hope to keep our top 6 players in years to come, we will have to scotch tape a bench together every year, because of $$$.

  15. No back to backs for Porzingas and Horford(let Queta develope for the post season). Oh and make sure Deuce is at all the games, but don't let Tatum play when he's hurt no matter how much he pouts.

  16. Tatum should be traded for Trae Young and DeAndre Hunter. He may leave us anyway. He’s not worth the max!!!! The flow without him was amazing last night.

  17. Tatums shooting percentage goes up when he plays off the ball more like his rookie year. Think with this team it’s time to lesson his responsibilities and let him score , rebound and play d. Need to reinforce Celtic fans aren’t impressed by numbers as much as wins ti counter the mvp stat chasing stuff the national media puts out there daily. Peace

  18. Pardon me John, but this game was DWhite's Big Game, not Kristapz. You pushing the wrong man. It was DWhite who made shot after shot which was why he topscored for the Celtics.
