Looks like the eye test and the numbers are perfectly in sync.
Jeremy’s 5th on the team in assists to Wemby, while he’s 1st or 2nd in assists for everyone else. And ironically, Wemby gets most of his assists from passing to Jeremy at the rim.

Jeremy’s go to move is to drive and try to collapse the d a little and then kick out to someone for a 3. He doesn’t do entry passes well, or at all. I really think this team is just that inept rather than some malicious intent toward wemby.
The only passing the team can really do well is around the 3 point line. We don’t have anyone that can reliably drive to the basket and break the d like tony parker, for example. I wish they’d use wemby as a facilitator more because he at least draws attention wherever he is at.
I also think the team is really bad in general and doesn’t want to turn it over so they don’t throw it to wemby, who often has 2-3 people around him or is getting pushed off whatever spot he is trying to establish himself in. Wemby gets moved by the opposing team’s defense pretty often so I think that makes it harder to pass to him.
That being said, everyone misses a lot of open looks for him early in the shot clock and in transition.
