Man I can't even imagine Scottie getting 20 shots on this team and the Sixers have 3 guys getting 20+ shots. Play through your best players. It isn't hard. Darko trying to be cute giving shots to non NBA level players. We've seen Achiuwa and Flynn with extended minutes. A short good stretch doesn't excuse the absurd amount of negative stuff Achiuwa does to this team.

The reason guys keep straying from the team game after a bad Achiuwa possession is simple. Masai in his infinite wisdom went into the year with multiple players playing for contracts. He's a dumb mfer.

Also wouldn't say Nurse instilled a culture of individualism, he played through his best players because he knew that young guys and especially our young guys, generally are not smart with the ball in their hands. Scottie was the exception. I do blame Fred for failing to get Scottie involved last season for sure, he would just pass between himself and Pascal at the end of games and it was miserable to watch. But Nurse really isn't doing anything different now. Look at the box score, 3 guys beat us. Almost 100 between 3 guys. But they all also damn near had triple doubles. He has guys there to play around them that aren't idiots and who won't make mistakes when they are given the ball and know, you exist to pass the ball to these 3 guys or take the open shot. We have Achiuwa who thinks he can back anyone down under the rim with 3 guys at the rim and try to make shots, Dennis who can't create an advantage in the half court at all but will spend our entire shot clock trying before passing to the absolute worst option possible, Gary who is gonna take a shot pretty much any time he touches the ball, Boucher who is prone to chucking 3s despite being shit at them. The roster is just so irredeemably bad.

Honestly Siakam and Scottie have been playing well together the past couple weeks, but the team around them is not built right at all… We get 2-3 solid shooters and we're easily a playoff team w them carrying us the way they have
