Don’t hate it. We need someone else, particularly come playoffs time.

We don’t need to do anything drastic and we have time on our side

  2. My pick would be to bring Hartenstein back, but that’s probably not happening now they’ve lost MitchRob.

If someone like Gafford became available at the right price (imo probably like 4-5 seconds) that would be great

Gafford would be ideal. I wanted Mason Plumlee during the off season but he’s out for the year.

I’d love Zach Collins, but the Spurs extended him so he’s probably not an option.

Nick Richards in Charlotte. 26 year old 7 ft center from the the University of Kentucky. He’s starting right now because of Mark Williams’ back injury, but he’s really a backup (has only started 21 games in his career). He has a 7’5 wingspan.

He was a second round pick in 2020, so this is his 4th season. He’s earning $5m this season and $5m each the next 2 seasons, so he is a bargain contract wise. He signed an extension in March 2023.

He averages 1.2 blocks per game this season and 1.1 bpg last year. He has 116 total blocks in his career over 153 games. He’s twice had 5 blocks in one game. He averages 6.6 rebounds per game this year with 2.2 offensive rebounds.

This year, he’s shooting 70% from the field (65% career) and 82% on free throws (75% career). He only has 1 three pointer on 2 attempts for his career, so he’s not a threat from distance. Love that he hits his free throws, which is Sengun’s weakness on offense.

I would give up 2 protected first rounders or maybe an FRP and Aaron Holiday if the Hornets want him (they don’t have a good back up point guard). I don’t think the Hornets will trade Nick for peanuts.

Need a springy rim runner for Amen. He actually had a decent connection with Boban in one game because he was able to catch his lobs.
