Sochan at PG should’ve made it so easy for him do develop his passing even more cause wemby is a monster finisher and sochan had flashers last year but he’s not willing to pass or shoot no more wonder if it’s his confidence or jealousy of went on the passing part
How about blaming both Pop and the players. I will admit I seen Pop get on Sochan once for not lobbing it to Wemby but he obviously is not registering it into their heads to pass Wemby the ball.
I don’t think we have a superstar point guard or even an allstar point guard in Tre Jones, but he is a guy who plays fantastic defense, makes winning plays, and has a very low assist to turnover ratio. HE IS THE POINT GUARD. All of his attributes are things we need on the court, if Pop had started him from the first game, we may be a .500 team. I’m so surprised at his approach to this team, he used to be the coach of accountability, now he just lets these guys do whatever, and gives them no guidance at all. If he got into them like he used to, I think it would benefit this team. We really could’ve been a sleeper play in team but now that’s too much ground to make up. So disappointed, it’s not like they put this team out there and tried to win, who would’ve guessed this would happen?

I've been watching every single Spurs games since Directv started offering NBA League pass and I've since every incarnation of Spurs teams every year and this team by far has the worst chemistry. The last years I always hoped Keldon and Devin were going to up their games and take this team to next level and make the playoffs but that never happened. So now we got lucky in the draft and got a franchise transformational superstar in the making, Wemby and now expectations are championships not just playoffs, championships. We are still playing the same way, through the same players, the same plays with the same results. And that's why we still suck. This is Wemby's team now and the sooner the other Spurs understand this and get this man at least 15-20 touches every single game we are never going to be better. I can't believe the other Spurs look like they straight up do not want to get Wemby the ball, with the exception of Trae. I don't even care if you turn the ball over passing to him. At least it's real time experience knowing how and when to get him the ball. Maybe it is jealousy but be a professional and get this budding superstar the ball so it opens up the game for you. PASS HIM THE BALL!!! Any way, I do not expect this team to look the same by 2026 with so many draft picks coming soon. Also on that first clip Sochan can't make that pass, we've seen him trying to make passes over the top of defenders, across the court to shooters and most of these passes end up being turnovers, you can't blame Sochan on that. But Vicor was wide open for three, I'm mad about that pass, not about the lob.
This is 100% on Pop. He needs to be fired this is unacceptable. Make adjustments, run plays for wemby to put him in the best spots to score and stop taking him out after 6 minutes of playing the first quarter. Its like the coaching is non existent and it shows. Pop looking more and more like Belichick after every game
You may be missing the forest for the trees. The point maybe to lose.. Not to mention forcing some humility on young guys who have not had many obstacles in life yet. i.e. They are not yet over themselves. Pop maybe working a deeper level then wins and losses in the short term.
As a French football fan (real name of soccer), I was motivated to watch Wemby and by doing so understand and maybe love basketball. But I have to say the more I watch the spurs, the less I understand this sport.
