The New York Knicks have been making the rounds around the NBA and have been having conversations with a number of teams regarding trades as we head directly into the NBA trade season. According to NBA Insider for Hoopshype, Michael Scotto, who recently revealed that the Knicks are looking to make a trade with the Atlanta Hawks! The trade the Knicks want to make with the Atlanta Hawks centers around their All-Star guard…Dejounte Murray. Troy Mahabir breaks all of this down!

You are correct,my friend in that Leon Rose has promised us Knicks fans for three years now, that the assets they have stockpiled will equal a star player, but each year we find ourselves waiting, and waiting, and waiting for it to happen.
Truthfully, I don't believe Leon has any idea of how to get that star player, let alone trading for one.
I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but I truly believe there isn't one to get and he knows Dolan is starting to see that. My reasoning on this? Again not a conspiracy theorist, and I truly believe that Mitch is hurt. But how, in a 36 hour span did it go from him being out 8 weeks, to now being out the rest of the season?
I'll tell you. As I said before, Dolan either knows, or senses Rose isn't going to deliver on his promise of another star player(I say another star player because we have one in Brunson), and so to stall the process, he's probably telling him we have to try and find another competent center before they can continue on their quest for another star. The bottom line is there are no "impactful" stars going to be available. Rose and Wes knows this, and now Dolan probably realizes this.

It's seems we both agree on a lot of these trades but this one in particular is my favorite one I also when Murray was available wanted him on the Knicks I was begging for the Knicks to trade for him but they didn't and he ended in the Hawks I knew it was a bad idea because he doesn't fit that team at all but if the Knicks can trade for him plz do it I don't care how many guards we have he would be a defensive guard we definitely need in the starting lineup Brunson ain't that or the other guards not at the level of Murray
The Knicks can than go after a 3 wing they need right after this trade imagine this lineup Murray Brunson Anunoby Randle Mitch Robinson we would be a defensive nightmare to other teams like the Celtics Bucks and other defensive teams

Whom takes pride in guarding opposing teams greatest offensive threat, with a reliable mid-range outside not necessarily a 3-point threat with a 50% field goal on 15-20 shots per game and the New York Knicks are series (beating the Celtics) Eastern conference champions. capable of beating any West Coast contender in a 7 game series.
