[Grange] Jakob Poeltl, in the first year of a four-year contract paying $20 million a season, had just two points and may not be long for the starting lineup.

    >There is plenty of discussion that Rajakovic needs to tighten his rotation or flip his starting lineup, but is that really the problem?

    >Doubtless changes will be considered. A lineup shuffle, perhaps what happened so far this year could be the final impetus on any of the long-rumoured trade possibilities.

Given how it affected the direction of this team, it’s one of the worst trades in Raptors history for its overall effect. Absolutely mind-boggling decision to try to win last year and add a player who fits so poorly with an already flawed core. A total disaster.

But his true shooting %age is among league leaders šŸ„ø

Yes but who else is going to start? Team will be too small if they start Siakam or Scottie at center, and Precious should not under any circumstances be starting.

  5. Poeltl isnā€™t the guy that needs to move to the bench, itā€™s Dennis. Thatā€™s not to say Poeltl has been good, and Dennis individually has been quite good honestly, itā€™s merely about the fit. Dennis being on the court means less touches for our best players in Scottie and Pascal. Gary starting puts the ball in Scottieā€™s hands more and creates spacing they need.

I canā€™t believe that Masai and Co thought we were a Yak away from making noise in the play offs šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Donā€™t get it confused, Poeltl is an excellent player and worth this money, but heā€™s a very poor fit on the raptors – even with Fred on the roster. Whatā€™s concerning is that the FO didnā€™t see that.

Hopefully they can redeem their decision by converting him as an asset to a team who have ample shooting but need more post play and rim protection.

  8. Yup I called this the day it happened.
Even check my post history, I said this was Masai’s worst trade.

Unfortunately, I seem to be right.
