STOP SAYING ‘TRADE BOBBY’
Never trade the guy who takes a big paycut to stay unless he actively wants to leave. If you do, you will never have credibility with another free agent again.
I understand that it’s a business and so do the players, but Bobby made a business decision to play for less money because he wanted to stay in Milwaukee (which makes his contract more valuable in a trade) Using that increased value to ship him out would be a stab in the back.
When you’re a franchise that is almost entirely unable to acquire big-name free agents, (Brook Lopez is probably the biggest free agent acquisition in franchise history) you really can’t afford to screw over the guys who actually do want to play for you.
