Tyler Herro this season: 24.2 PPG, 5.3 REB, 4.4 AST, on near 48/44/89 shooting with just 2.7 TO.

He’s having career highs nearly across the board, including excellent efficiency. Is he taking the leap to stardom?

idek what counts as a star these days, so many players are putting up huge numbers

  2. rapelbaum

If u take out the game he got injured and played only 8 minutes his statline would be 26/6/5

    Very very trash asset. /S

  3. lucifersfavartist

Knicks fans still think Barrett is better.

  4. domingodlf

People won’t wanna talk about it but those are extremely similar numbers to Anthony Edwards this year. One is a value less bum who doesn’t move the needle for any trade, the other is the second coming of Michael Jordan.

  5. captain_ahabb

the discourse about him on this sub over the summer was insane

  6. gab_owns0

Remember when fanbases thought Reaves and Huerter were better?

  7. recollectionsmayvary

The discourse about herro on this sub over the summer was unhinged. In an effort to discredit Miamiā€™s trade package, people literally talked about Tyler like he was some loser high school JV bball scrub lol

  8. Iwantyourseed

Heā€™s always been a star, you obviously need cataracts you god damn fool

  9. PaintTouches

WTF thatā€™s his season stats? Thatā€™s fantastic.

  10. Harman3112

Itā€™s 26 if u take out the game he got hirt

Trash asset, bag of chips trade package, Reaves better

  12. Is it just me or has his defense improved as well?

  13. frostfeint3

Nah bro heā€™s a trash asset.

That aside, heā€™s been very efficient this season. Heā€™s still great at rebounding, a lot better at shooting. He should be playing at an all star level next year.

I once defended Poole as being better than Herro when contract time came aroundā€” I was wrong. Herro is on my fantasy team and is killing it

Putting up Ant Edwards numbers but Bucks still ā€œhad a better packageā€šŸ˜‚ glad he aint taking the disrespect

  16. IRanOutOf_Names

Obviously we need to see it for an extended time as he’s missed most of the season, but he just looks so much better. Snappier with his decisions, and has really leveled up defensively.

His real problem as far as trade value goes is that he plays one of the least sought out roles in the NBA currently. Thereā€™s no doubt heā€™s one of the better guards in the game, but scoring guards with mediocre playmaking are a dime a dozen and teams arenā€™t willing to shell out big for guys like that.

  18. Affectionate_Year_14

Someone did say his ceiling was Devin Booker

  19. mxgicjohnson

Heā€™s been better than Jimmy this season. They not ready for this conversation though.

Fine, I’ll trade Donovan Mitchell for him. Doing you all a favor lol

Donā€™t forget the whitest facial hair, too

Herro is a very good offensive player. He got way too much hate in trade talks. The reason Blazer fans didn’t want him in a trade is because we already have a very similar player on a better contract in Simons. We’ve also had a too many guards (particularly offensive-only guards) problem for a decade.

Personally, I was fine with a Heat trade as long as they were offering their best package (reporting said they were only offering Herro, 1-2 frp, and maybe Jokic) and routing Herro to another team in a 3-team trade.

  23. stephcurrysleggings

Box score isnā€™t everything, last year they were significantly better in the playoffs without him and this year there 6-5 in games he plays and 11-7 when he doesnā€™t

  24. NazReidRules

I was really impressed in our midst recent game vs Heat, he looks dangerous

  25. His 44% from 3 is on 7.7 attempts per game, too. It’s efficient _and_ high volume. 59.5 TS%

The only part of his offensive game thats really missing is the rim finishing and free throw drawing. But the whistle comes with respect and he might finally reach a point where the stats get the respect.

  26. rudebwoy100

He’s taking 19 shots a game, is mainly a shooter and doesn’t get to the rim, it’s really not that impressive.

I’d trade him so fast for Donovan mitchell.

  27. TheMoorNextDoor

Wanted him on my Nets to go next to Bridges, Claxton, with Cam coming off the bench.

Two defensive stallwards, two (with Bridges included on the side) auto bucket getters that can give you 30+ any night.
