People will blast this cuz it’s Kerr but it’s always the worst version of basketball when free throws take over a game. Nothing makes me turn off a game quicker than multiple possessions in a row with tacky foul calls
I know Steve is unpopular here but he’s literally saying what this sub has been saying for weeks now. Ive seen this sub complain about Embiid foul baiting, and same after this game with the touch fouls Jokic is getting

As a die hard Nuggets fan this was straight up unwatchable from the start I am not gonna lie.

I try to get my friends and family to watch a game and it’s Giannis at the free throw line for nearly 20 minutes a game because he spends 30 seconds per shot. Nobody wants to watch that trash
As someone who didn’t really care who won, Jokic got a lot of soft contact calls. Not even blaming Jokic since the refs were just giving him the whistle on every minor contact. Add Steph and Jokic just being awful offensively, made it super tough to watch.
The NBA doesn’t allow resistance defensively. Mix that in w/ the fact that they reward foul baiting by offensive players and you get this.
This sub gonna act differently now but they say the same shit in Embiid and Giannis threads

Reffing sucks at the baseline for every game.
Nevermind the uneven calls, over the top betting baked in, and long pauses, just the average nba game has gotten worse to watch because you can bet that refs are going to noticeably lower the game quality every time.

It’s a joke how easy scoring is now, what makes goals in soccer amazing and home runs in baseball exciting is how difficult they are.

Players are just more talented now. If you combine that with the fact that defenses are handicapped by the rules, that’s why you have ridiculous scoring games now.

I wasn’t watching the game but when social media blows up over something it can impact things. The pictures of Jokic’s arm being covered in cuts and blood kind of caught traction a few days ago. So I wouldn’t be surprised if the refs were told “he’s a superstar, fans are paying attention to how he’s not getting calls so let’s change the narrative on our most watched day of regular season games.”
