The Raptors are WASTING Everybody’s Time…

Yo what’s going on y’all it’s con back here again today with another video and today I want to talk for a bit about the Toronto Raptors this season for them so far has been nothing short of a disaster last year they missed the playoffs for the second time in the past 10 seasons

Just failing to build off anything they showed in 2022 when they made the playoffs gave the Sixers a tough first run series and look like this defensive gritty lengthy team that was just so frustrating to play against last year we saw none of that this past off season

They separated with longtime head coach Nick nurse they lost Fred Van vet free agency for nothing and into the season it seemed like it was probably going to be more of the same and that’s been exactly the case last night it all came to a head with the loss of the Utah Jazz

Who have been really bad so far this season 126 to 119 in a game where the Raptors led by 17 points in the third quarter Larry Markin and Jordan Clarkson torched them in the fourth but really the entire game they were giving them a ton of problems the offense completely

DED out for the Raptors not that it’s really ever that existent and the Raptors fall for the third strike game and have now lost 10 out of their last 13 contests this has led to them sitting 12th in the EAS e conference with an 11

And 18 record just a game I guess away from the 10 City Chicago bowls but by all accounts this is a bad team they’re the 20th ranked offense the 20th rank defense they have the 22nd net rating they’re just really not good at anything in particular and this comes despite

Them having talented players like Scotty Barn who’s breaking out has become an All-Star caliber player even if he doesn’t make the All-Star game because the team success I think is going to hurt him a little bit and the Eastern Conference is just stacked with great front Court Talent so even if he doesn’t

Make it he is an all caliber player at this point and he’s showing a lot of promise proving that he will be a franchise Cornerstone for them Pascal sakam is having another pretty solid year although the shooting is really really down this season ojen noobi is a

Good 3 andd Wing that pretty much any team could plug and play yaka perto is a solid big Dennis shoter had a great start to the season has definitely cooled off since then like they’ve got some decent players all over the place it’s just that they don’t really fit

Together at all and they don’t have any guys who are really going to carry this team with the lack of back in Talent they’ve somehow managed to build a team that has some of the worst spacing in the league their bottom three and three-point percentage around a player

Pascal seak who pretty much requires spacing his whole game is getting inside bullying guys attacking the basket he can’t really do that effectively on this team because nobody spaces the floor they’ve got very few average to good Shooters you also have this weird dichotomy where Scotty Barnes is

Bursting onto the scene and it feels like the ball should be in his hands more but he’s like this Rising 22y old and you’ve got the established guy in seak who’s 29 on an expiring contract so you’ve got these two weird timelines and some nights Scotty’s getting a lot of

Shots but SE yakum feels left out SE yakum is getting some shots a lot of nights and Scotty really isn’t touching the ball as much as he should they’ve had a hard time finding a balance of any kind for really any player on this offense it feels like pretty much

Everybody’s Miss used they don’t have the talent to make up for some of their deficits it’s just not a good basketball team they’re a mess at the moment there’s holes all over the place they’re not going to turn this season around they could maybe push for a playing spot

At the very best but this isn’t a team that’s going to make it into the play push their way to the playoffs and make some type of Deep Run like the heat did this is a team that if they made the playoffs would get swept in an embarrassing first round series it was

Always going to be a weird year with Nick nurse departing after coaching them for so long seak and OG both being upcoming free agents but what’s going on right now is just sad they’re a shell of themselves from a couple of years ago and it’s very past due that they go

Ahead and blow this thing up they’re the next team in line in my eyes to go ahead and begin a rebuild we saw another Eastern Conference team and the Wizards who are also stuck in this Purgatory State finally commit to it last season now they’re really bad and they’re able

To go out there and get a top pick in this upcoming draft even though it’s supposed to be a bit of a weaker draft they can go out there and get a top pick start to build up for the new future they’re no longer just allowing themselves to be mediocre like the

Raptors are at the moment they’re pretty much just wasting everybody’s time right now Scotty’s not getting the developmental touches that he probably should get they should just go ahead trade everyone and focus primarily on him they’re not letting themselves go ahead and get a top pick in this draft

They’re trying to stay more around the middle which isn’t really the best way to go about things when you’re a team that clearly is in need of topend talent it’s not at all a good spot to be in and it’s made worse by just the most baffling trade that the Raptors made

Last season last year at the deadline you may not remember this but there around five six games under 500 and they decide to go ahead and deal this year’s first round pick over to the San Antonio Spurs for yaka Perle like Perle was good and I guess he made sense to try and

Make this team a little bit better but it wasn’t a team that was like one piece away from contending or getting back to the playoffs or anything they were a bad team they added a decent player and still missed the playoffs while giving up a first round pick in the process now

Luckily for them the first- round pick is top six protected this year so if they could be bad enough they could still get one of the top picks in this draft but the problem for them is right now if the season ended today they’re currently sitting in the seventh spot

They would land the seventh overall pick giving a lottery pick over to the San Antonio Spurs for two years of yaka Perle both of which resulted in Lottery entries the trade was already a massive head scratcher when it happened but if they continue going this way and don’t

Even get their first round pick it’s going to go down as one of the worst minor trades of these past five years it’s not like one of the huge Blockbusters that blew up in a team’s face but it’s just a minor move that’s awful asset mismanagement and didn’t

Make any sense in the moment and the long longer it goes it makes even less sense you might be saying oh well they can just go ahead and trade their guys and guarantee themselves a top six pick that’s not going to be easy because there are some really really bad Bottom

Feeders in the NBA right now currently they’re ahead of the San Antonio Spurs the Blazers the Grizzlies the Pistons the Wizards and the Hornets in the standings the Grizzlies are the only team that I’m 100% confident the Raptors will fall behind over the course of the Season even if they trade everybody all

Those other teams like again Spurs Blazers Pistons Wizards Hornets they’re very bad even if the Raptors trade most of their top guys I’m not convinced they’ll be able to catch some of those teams in this Lottery race they’re just one win worse right now also than the

Jazz who have looked pretty rough most of the season and I could see them also selling around the deadline so there’s no guarantee at all that they end up in that top six and even if they do all it takes is one team jumping them if

They’re at the six spot to lose their first round pick to the Spurs this year there’s a good chance they go through this terrible season and don’t even end up with a lottery talent to add on to the core at the end of the day but at

The very least you have to try and do something to secure this pick you can’t let yourselves just currently hang out in the middle for the rest of the season land the seven or eight pick and just give it to the San Antonio Spurs you’ve

Got to go ahead and blow this thing up ASAP this is why I think they’re wasting everybody’s time because they could go ahead and let all these guys move onto a new team that could tank this season try and get a top pick to put next to Scotty

It just makes so much sense rather than sticking this thing out which gives you chance to rack up a few wins that could be the difference between adding a really good Young Piece to this team or not around draft time so go ahead and deal SE yakum deal ojen anobi yaka Perle

Gary Trent Jr Dennis shuder maybe anybody who has some type of value on this team other than Scotty Barnes he should be the only Untouchable piece on this roster everybody else trade them see what teams are willing to offer you because even though like a SE yakam and

And Oobi are on expiring contracts I still think you could get pretty good value for them because they’re both players I think could fit a number of schemes it’s not the deepest trade market in the world right now and Oobi in particular is Young if you get an

Assurance that he’ll stay with you long term he is an ideal wing for pretty much any contending team or team that does doesn’t want to go out there and break the bank for a star but would love to add a highle wing OG’s great for that

And for a team that is looking for another star Pascal seak has played in a lot of different systems before all you’ve got to do is have some shooting around him and I think he could be really good his numbers aren’t fantastic in Toronto but you put him in a better

Situation I think siakam would absolutely Thrive so I think you could get some picks maybe some young players and some salary filler for those two guys maybe an asset for yaka Perle Gary Trent Jr again whoever is value go ahead and trade them bot him out for the rest

Of the season grab some picks maybe in this upcoming draft so even if you don’t get your own pick you can still have some type of assets get some future assets just make sure you capitalize on the guys you have on your boster right now and don’t have a replication of this

Past off season where they lost Fred vanet for nothing there were so many rumors throughout the year that they could trade Fred Van vet to a number of teams but instead they held on to him in the offseason missed the playoffs and he walks for literally nothing over to the

Houston Rockets and this isn’t the first time the Raptors have mismanaged assets with Kyle Lowry they kept him throughout that Tampa Bay season that they had back in 2021 won in the offseason they trade him and they get like Precious auua out of it they don’t really get any big time

Assets when according to reports teams like the Sixers amongst others were willing to offer a lot for Kyle Lowry around the deadline but Messi xiri stood Patty said no I’m not trading him for little when I believe there rumors the Sixers were even offering like a Tyrese

Maxi or matis sty ball at least that would have been some type of young asset instead they really don’t get that much out of the kyari situation this team has just really mismanaged assets a lot over the past couple of years you can’t let that happen again with OG and seak if

Let one or either of them walk for nothing you have completely failed this season there’s a part of me that’s scared that they’re going to try and build off of this thing rather than blowing it up there were some rumors out there that they were interested in like

A Zack LaVine which I would hate for this team he’s not going to do much for you at all you’re just going to be paying a guy way more money than he’s worth adding on to a team that’s not good right now Zack LaVine isn’t the Difference Maker the blls right now have

Gone on a run since he left the lineup so I don’t know why they’ve got any interest in a guy like that I don’t know why they’d have any interest in building off this team it’s not good start over over give Scotty Barnes the Reigns to

Your team let him Thrive see what he can do over the second half of the Season just give him more opportunities rather than letting him currently play this Balancing Act alongside seaka where he’s like oh when do I shoot the ball when do I defer to him let Scotty Barnes be the

Guy it seems like he’s going to be for your future blow this thing up give yourself the best chance at securing your pick which for some reason you decide to try and throw away this season the Raptors are just a mess right now they’re also just playing bad basketball

On top of this they are one of the hardest watches in the NBA at the moment I hope they go ahead and go towards a Rebo and if they don’t it would be a complete disaster of a season in terms of trade partners for the Raptors we’ve heard some Rumblings that the Sacramento

Kings could be looking for one of these guys I think the Sixers are a really interesting team to send one of them to because they’ve got some interesting picks and both guys I think fit the Sixers really well really just any contending type team like maybe the

The Toronto Raptors are currently going through an awful season that has them again as a lottery team in the Eastern Conference. Scottie Barnes is ascending to stardom but their top players don’t fit together, Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby are both on expiring contracts, and they may not even get their own first round pick this year due to an awful trade they made for Jakob Poeltl last year.
