Jabari Smith Jr. Found The Superstar Formula 🌟

Jabari Smith Jr. Found The Superstar Formula 🌟

When the Rockets used the third overall pick in the 2022 draft on Jabari Smith from Auburn nobody Point deny because this is a 611 forward that shot 42% from three in college and is a three-level scorer with basically Limitless potential in the NBA but drafted to a

Team with a lot of young pieces in the Houston Rockets shabari Smith wasn’t going to just walk into this organization and do whatever he wants his rookie season he had a solid year putting up nearly 13 points a game but shooting 40% from the field and 30% from

Three which is pretty below the efficiency you would want from a third overall pick with his type of potential but what we’re seeing in year 2 with the new and improved rocket is something that’s scary for the rest of the league Smith is now shooting 48%

From the field and putting up nearly 14 points per game in his last three games though he’s putting up 27 a night with 10.7 rebounds on 63 60 91 shooting splits his true shooting percentage is 80 and his plus minus is 41 his effective field goal percentage has

Jumped 9% since his rookie season and if you look closely at these games we’re watching an elite scorer simply put it all together a lot of Jabari Smith’s buckets this season are coming off the dribble more to show the extent of Jabari Smith’s seconde Improvement we’re

Going to show how he’s getting to his spots really well playing out of these shooting spots in the corners he’s hitting tough mid-range shots he’s playing Bully ball around the rim the issue is is that if you let him get to the rim it’s just easy for him to score

And what he’s doing now is putting the ball on the floor more so he’s getting to the rim more and defenses are learning how this is a problem in real time so here we start there’s a late close out as Smith is spotted up in the

Corner he could easily Blow by mpj here and get to the rim this is something that’s going to happen a lot especially when Fred Van Fleet and Alper and sagon are playing pick and roll then again here it’s a late close out which is enough now for Smith to be comfortable

To put the ball on the floor and get to the rim for the tough layup and then here again the close out is too low and once he’s in the lane here it’s too late even if there’s a help Defender he could finish this and what Smith is learning

Right now is who he’s comfortable going one-on-one against and basically playing Bully ball at the rim and what we’re learning is that’s a lot of the NBA here’s he takes Chad to the rim for the strong layup attempt and is able to follow it up for the bucket and then

Here he’s just able to go go to a spin move he doesn’t lose his Defender that much but once again he’s close enough to the rim here and has the touch to make it work and then again here on this drive there isn’t much there but he just

Able to finish this through traffic so as long as he’s comfortable putting the ball on the floor now he could easily become a 25o scorer every night and that great defense here off off of the pin down he he gets to his spot he loves to

Be here 18 to 20 ft away from the hoop and he’s able to put the ball on the floor and get to the rim on the left side for the finish and then here wemi is there on the close out it’s a solid close out from wemi but he likes this

Matchup as he just thinks he’s a dog and wemi isn’t maybe and then something that Smith does really well increasingly of late is hit these mid-range jumpers with more confidence and over the defense this here looks like a 6′ 11 Michael Jordan with the turnaround jumper and then when he gets Donathan Mitchell

Alone in the post that is food for him for a short mid-range jumper the same case is if you put Damen Lillard on him but the problem becomes if Giannis is there as well he could still hit this jumper over anybody and something that should be quite easier for chibari Smith

Playing with great Playmakers such as Fred Van Fleet and Alper and sangon these backdoor cuts off of a screen where sangon can easily find them under the hoop against a smaller player like Jamal Murray those are going to be there a lot here again he’s aware that sangon

Will find him he sees the Defender leaving him for sangon and cuts to the ramp and then off of a pin down here and then off of a pin down here he’s able to get the ball and Chris Middleton can get these buckets too and then here you

Simply can’t cheat on this because Javari Smith will now make you pay and I could show a bunch of plays like this but I’m just going to show one and tell you that Jabari Smith I is very solid on the offensive boards here he’s able to show some strength for the offensive

Rebound and put back bucket so the Houston Rockets have a bit of a situation because they have so many good young players one in particular Jaylen green who now I think it’s fair to question where should all of these shots be going because the Rockets have a lot

Of players now who should be holding the basketball Javari Smith looks like he could be one of the better scorers in the league I think a lot of fans wanted to see this three-point Improvement as we saw him shoot over 40% from deep in college he’s up his three-o percentage

To 40 but to see this growth in the mid-range Game and his ability to play off the dribble is something I think a lot of people have been caught off guard by maybe even the rocket staff so do you guys think Smith should have the ball more going forward this year the Rockets

Are 15 and 12 and the 20-year-old forward is putting up 14 a game on 61% true shooting 5039 80 splits with nearly nine boards a game in just 30 minutes play per game his improved three Point shooting mid-range game dribble game offensive boards everything like that

This guy right now is emerging as a star and with alperin sangon who really has gotten a lot of the talk this season when it comes to attributing credit to the Rocket’s success I think Jabari Smith should now be in that conversation as he’s played a vital role in their

Success let me know what you guys think in the comments about where you think Jabari Smith’s feeling is because there’s yet another player in the 20122 draft class who has star potential thank you guys for watching

Jabari Smith Jr. can be one of the best scorers in the league.

I love watching the NBA then making videos about it.

  1. It Seem’s that Udoka has unlocked Alperen Sengun and Jabari’s game . Both of them are match up problems for opposing defenses. Hoping that Jalen Green finds his niche as well in this offense. The young rockets have great upside. They are starting to look like a playoff caliber team.

  2. Sengun is 21 years old
    Jabari is 20 years old
And they are the starting front court for a team that is pace to at least make the play-in.

I love the fit of the pieces and this team definitely has the potential to be a perennial playoff team for the next 5 plus years.. need to see more to say they have an OKCs potential as a future contender though unless they can trade for or develop an allstar guard.

  3. looks more and more like KD. wait until he gains more weights. he will be a big threat at the paint. the biggest changes come into his second year is that he is no more just 3 points shooter. his biggest threat is attacking the rim …

  4. It’s clear that Jabari is better than Jalen right now and he’s been shooting great this season but he has less than 10 field goals attempts so once Fred Van Vleet starts passing to him it’s gonna be better. Against Pelican both FVV and Dillons didn’t even score 10pts and Jalen had 5 pt but they were able to beat them just by Sengun and Jabari.

  5. Jalen might be scary for the 6th man role for now. Id like to put thompson on that starting line up but therell be way too much playmaking with him, fred, and alpie. An off ball athletic finisher might be a great fit for the starting wing and have jalen get into his groove in the second unit.

  6. They are improving so fast both Alpy and Jabari
But JG 😒 to busy travelling the world not improving his game

  7. I'm convinced Smith Jr is going to be a superstar. This video made a lot of great points and didn't really hit on how good of a defender he is.

Him putting the ball on the floor is a game changer. Future is bright in Houston.

  8. It's not Smith or Sengun or Eason we're concerned of. It's Jalen Green. He's not shooting well. Sadako needs to sit down with him each game to review all his action on the floor and how to correct or improve.

  9. Jabari was my favorite since day he got drafted I could see the potential he had. He’s the reason I went to my first live rockets game last year. Even tho they only one game the whole season at that point. It was in November vs the mavs we had like 19 block shots

  10. He only avgs 14 a game rn cause he had a slow start to the season and was benched multiple games in favor or Jeff green.
