NEW Heat Trade Rumors: Miami TRADING For Dejounte Murrray? Why The Heat MUST DO THE DEAL!
Should the heat trade for Hawks guard de jante Murray that is the main topic of today’s show I am Nick rolloff of the heat report and obviously after missing out on Damen Lillard this off season the Heat’s biggest issue this far in this season which their 18 and 12 are off to
A good start is still that point guard position and I think Murray Could Be Our guy before we dive into it I want to make sure you guys are subscribed and specifically have your notifications turned on because when we go live for watch parties or drop a video during the
Day like the one you’re watching right now you want to be alerted when these things happen so hit that notification icon and hit select all so you get alerted every time we drop a piece of Miami Heat content all right these rumors began when Mark Stein reported on Murray’s possibility of getting traded
He said multiple teams consulted in Orlando believe that the Hawks will explore their trade options with de jante Murray over the next 6 weeks leading up to that February 8th trade deadline uh I kind of alluded to it this might be our Golden Goose and what do I
Mean by that’s our Golden Goose well I just think he is the perfect point guard to slide into this heat roster that would not require trading a Tyler hero but would be able to play alongside Tyler Jimmy in bam and you would probably also be able to keep Hae hawz
Jr if he does get dealt in the heat are interested there is one drawback which we’ll get to in just a bit that makes a little bit unlikely but first let’s get to know the jante Murray let’s look at his Outlook he’s still only 27 so he’s
Just now entering his prime which is good to see he’s 65 and my favorite part about Deon Murray is that wingspan I got to be honest when I Scout NBA players wingspan has a big hold over me if you have a good wingspan the height
Ratio I am going to be a fan of your abilities especially on that defensive end and he can guard really well on that perimeter and get in the passing Lanes due to that Wings span and one thing that I also like about dejonte Murray is that he is actually under contract through
2627 he does have a player option in 2027 and 28 and just a quick brief thing on that contract before we move on it’s a 4year $114 million contract extension that kicks in next season which means if you did trade for dejonte Murray you’d
Only have to pay him just about 25 26 28 and $30 million over the next four seasons which for a point guard of his his caliber um well that’s pretty pretty enticing but before we dive in more on dejon Murray be the GM for me should Pat
Riley and Miami trade with a division rival in the Atlanta Hawks to acquire the jante Murray type y for yes Type n for no let me know down in the comments section Murray’s played in 30 games this season for the Atlanta Hawks and has been able to Showcase what makes him
Such a special talent in our league obviously Atlanta traded a pretty pretty hefty package to the Spurs to acquire him to pair up with Trey young a couple years ago it hasn’t really worked out as the Hawks are at the bottom of the Eastern Conference this year and they
Were only in that playin range last season as well but Murray able to score 20 a game while also dishing out five and a half assists but the thing that has made me so impressed with Murray’s game is his ability to improve as a three-point shooter 37 and a half% from
Beyond The Arc would be among one of his top seasons in the NBA the 45.8% from the field is pretty average for him but he’s been improving as a three-point shooter and I mean come on adding a player of that caliber you just saw on screen to this Heat roster would
No doubt take them to that top tier and if you’re able to keep herob bam Jimmy and hakz as well and you add Murray to that team um look out and you’d probably even be able to keep Duncan Robinson maybe not but we’ll get to my package in
A little bit but could you imagine being able to add Murray to this roster what he can do defensively which I’ll die more and deep as well in just a second you pair him up with hero in that backourt you get the defense and playmaking of Murray alongside hero
Shooting it is a match made in heaven and before we talk about Murray’s fit in the 305 a little bit more I got to give some shout outs to factor meals America’s number one ready to eat meal delivery service that can help you eat well for breakfast lunch and dinner with

Video but I mentioned it earlier the Heat’s biggest need is point guard and Kyle Lowry has been good this season there is no denying that he’s been phenomenal from Beyond The Arc but I think we can all agree that if the heat want to be able to beat the Celtics beat
The Bucks in the postseason again it will all come down to their point guard play and I don’t think there’s going to be a better point guard that comes available at the trade deadline than de jante Murray and if Mark Stein is correct about Murray being available I
Think the heat should pounce and I know some of you will go out there and say well why would we trade Kyle L’s on an expiring deal which by the way is valuable in the NBA and he’s shooting really really well well I think Murray
Can do the same thing and if you look at the two guys side by side here yes Kyle Lowry is shooting a phenomenal 48% on catch and shoot threes which he’s putting up three a night and honestly that’s one of the thing that drives me
Nuts about Kyle is that I wish he’d put up more threes I feel like he passes up some open shots too many times but the thing that Kyle does hold back this offense and I know you have Jimmy bam and Tyler attacking the rim but Kyle Lowry refuses to get inside the paint
And finish amongst the trees which yeah that’s not his game but only one and a half field goals inside that 10- foot area and he’s not in getting in the mid-range either and shooting less than one shot a game what Deon Murray can bring to the table is three level
Scoring alongside Elite defense the catch and shoot threes for m are a little concerning at 35.2% I won’t deny that but it is fascinating to me that he’s able to make more threes 40% on the mark this year when he’s dribbling into a three-pointer whether it be in a
Transition pullup three or a sid step three Murray is better dribbling into his shot which means the shooting is there and I think the heat would be able to coax a better catch and shoot shooter out of De jante Murray but you also see it 54% within 10 defeated the basket on
Six attempts a night he’s able to get to the rim he’s able to get to the mid-range and he’s able to hit some three-pointers as well and it goes beond the stat sheet with the jante Murray he is a leite on that defensive side I mentioned that 610 wingspan for someone
Who’s only 65 he can score 20 a game he can guard the best perimeter Defender and I’m just imagining the heat struggling in the postseason with their defense if they keep Ki and Tyler hero Tyler’s been better this year defensively but he’s still not perfect but you can hide some of the issues
Tyler has on that defensive end if you add Murray into this rotation he can guard the best perimeter player on the opposing team and then you still have Jimmy Butler hakz and maybe even potentially Caleb Martin to guard some other perimeter guys on the wing I think
The defensive fit is even better than the off offensive fit and I would trust Eric bolra to have those guys interchange well and create the most efficient and best lineup Miami could possibly have this season we missed out on Dame but if Murray comes available
And Pat Riley can get out of his own way with clutch clients which is probably my biggest concern with potentially trading for dejonte Murray cuz he doesn’t deal with clutch that often Murray is our guy and I do want to talk talk about right now what a potential de jante Murray
Trade would look like but first Tristan rockliffe of sports Kea had a potential trade package that he floated out there said that he could offer a package sent and around the expiring contract of Lowry and picks and they could also offer the Hawks one of their forwards
Such as Caleb Martin and a prospect such as nicoa yovic and I give Tristan credit because what he said about trade is exactly what I believe the heat should cook up as well and this is what it would be now I will say this about the jante Murray he’s not eligible to be
Traded for another week and a half I think January 5th is the day but obviously that’s just a week away and not that big of a deal a potential Murray trade would happen that first week of February at the deadline in all likelihood but the heat received two
Guards de jante Murray and Patty Mills Mills is more of a throw in $6 million this year on oneyear deal to make the salary work in the heat give up Kyle Lowry give up nicoa yic alongside two first round picks and I know some of you will want to save those first round
Picks for a potential trade for Donovan Mitchell in the off season but my thinking is here if you acquire Deonte Murray you will no longer need Donovan Mitchell you’ll be able to keep Tyler hero in a hero Murray back court with Butler hakz and Bam in the front Court
Would move Mountain and I know I have been the leader of the Nia yovic hype train and I want the heat to keep him because I think he’s talented but Murray is the type of player that I would be willing to trade my sweet prince nicoa yic for and it’s unfortunate but with
How good haimi hakz has been I don’t see a pathway for yovic making a difference on this roster this season and honestly my doubts for yic impacting next year’s Heat team are starting to creep in as well I’d cash in on yovic while we still can while he’s still at his youngest has
The most potential he could have in a trade package I’d send him and Lowry alongside a couple of first round picks to acquire Murray and have Patty Mills as a potential 12th 13th guy that can provide veteran leadership and maybe even knock down some threes in a spot
Where the heat would need so let me revisit that trade and get your thoughts on it down below would you accept this trade to get Deon Murray type A for exite accept excuse me type D for decline get those votes in down below I am and and if you can’t tell by
How I’ve been talking about de jante Murray this entire video he is someone that ever since it came out that he could be available via trade I I am just blushing over because you mentioned this lineup and I’ve talked about it a couple times throughout today’s video Murray
And hero in the back cour you have have two 20 plus Point per game scores you have Elite defensive play and playmaking in Murray and then Tyler hero shooting and spur ability it would just be a dynamic duo in the back cour and then you got these three the best defensive
Player in the planet in bab bio the best rookie this season in haime hakz Jr who can play a small ball four he has that veteran mindset already as a 22-year-old rookie then you have the fourth quarter closer and Jimmy Butler I can just see it and sure
The questions about spacing would be there but the defense would be top tier the finishing around the rim would be there and if you trust hakz is three-point shooting to go up Murray to continue to shoot the Rock at that level and then obviously Tyler hero is one of
The better shooters in the NBA as well this is a lineup that would be the death lineup for Miami to close games in the fourth and open games it would just be a dream in a fever pitch to see these five in a heat uniform closing out games in the
Postseason that’ll do it for today’s video appreciate you all staying in throughout the entire show as you can tell I was very excited about talking about a potential Dante Murray trade if you want to see more trade rumors and want to join us for our Miami Heat Golden State Warriors watch party
Tomorrow evening against the Golden State Warriors at 900 p.m. make sure you hit that sub button and turn on those notifications like I mentioned earlier in the video cuz I’m only helping you guys out when you turn those not on I’ll see you on the next one go Heat
