Too much glue: Mann & Coffey have a -20.6 Net Rating when on the court together.

This is by far the worst Net Rating for any two players who have shared the court for more than 100 minutes for the Clippers this season. It’s the 3rd worst for two players with over 50 minutes together, behind Tucker/Zu (-39.7 in 51 min.) and Mann/Theis (-25.1 in 88 min.).

this is really interesting to me and a great find by you. thinking a big reason for this is a combination of the blowouts against Boston/OKC without Kawhi and the fact that these guys are often out there with our garbage time lineups or with one of them playing the 4. this is all conjecture though, i really don’t know.

might be a bit hypocritical of me to say with some of the criticism I’ve had for Lue in the past, but I want to continue to see them on the court together to see if they can figure it out. I think their skillsets translate decently well into a playoff setting.

Offense can be figured out. Defense is harder. However, the Center and PF play the biggest role on defensive rating.

They have to be able to guard pick and rolls and help the paint when there’s hedges and switches.

It’s obvious that Mann and Coffey are neither PFs but forced to play the PF role.

Zu isn’t good enough on D to play without a real PF. Kawhi makes a huge difference.

Trade for John Collins with tucker, Mann, primo & 1 2nd round pick. Collins will allow Kawhi to move back to sf and Collins is better rebounder and shooter over Mann.

Dorian Finney smith would be a Great pickup for this squad

Leave them alone. Literally our gems and we’ve been building them since day one. No way we throw away the keys because of a “Net Rating Stats Information Sytem Data Collector” thoughts. Keep growing and getting better T Mann and Amir Coffey. Ignore the critics of the internet

They’ve barely played on court together though. If these are averages for the season, the Amir and T Mann sample size is way, way low compared to everyone else. Amir has only been getting real minutes for like 1.5 weeks now.

I think Coffey’s pairings should be taken with a grain of salt.

Edit: I’m also guessing some of these minutes include (for lack of a better term) garbage time at the end of games. I don’t think those minutes are super representative

this is a very small sample size and they play better with Kawhi then PG. I would rather Mann go to the bench at this point tho.
