Demar and Zach negate each other when they play together, and Zach can’t handle it alone. But, Demar can.
Also, Drummond needs more minutes. I’m not saying he needs to start but more than 14 minutes.

Both Zach and DeMar in layman’s terms being similar players iso leaning dudes who don’t play defense well, limiting that to 1 meh defender and with DeMar buying in on less touches and more movement along with Coby Pat and Ayo take a nice step in their development so far

DeMar and Zach are awful together as iso players with no one checking them without a general like Lonzo and they probably would have faded out had he stayed healthy but it’s a massive what if in a franchise full of what ifs. Other players are benefiting from this as we’ve seen increased roles for pay, Coby, and ayo. AC gets to do his thing more because he has help on defense and isn’t needed everywhere.
Second is Coby. Maybe he’s not as prolific as Zach (yet) but with lavines slightly holding a scoring edge on Coby, Coby comes with a much better toolbox. He’s a far superior defender as he’s not great but just solid these days compared to Zach’s abysmal help defense. Coby is a better decision maker and is getting very disciplined Zach’s assists come late in the shot clock, Cobys come in the flow of the offense. Cobys ball handling and one on one play has more variety than double jab step and pop. He’s also a superior rebounder and is stronger. Giving Zach’s keys to Coby is a much better thing for the team.
Tldr less iso wars and my turn your turn with Demar, and Coby is a better team player with a wider skill set and the team makes up for Zach’s scoring through Coby and increased roles from others.

We don’t have two guys that feel comfortable taking all the shots and holding onto the ball to get their shot. We have to move that ball and space the floor without Zach which is just better basketball. Coby and Pat are allowed to develop meaning we have more options and better defense tio
