His first game as an NBA assistant coach came on 20 October 2021 in the Raptors’ 98–83 season-opening loss to the Washington Wizards in Toronto. He started the 2021–22 season as the Raptors’ offensive coach but was rotated mid-season to defence by head coach Nick Nurse. He helped the Raptors reach the 2022 NBA playoffs.”
