[Lewenberg] Darko Rajakovic doesn’t have the personnel to play the way he wants to play. Until and unless that changes he needs to find a way to get the most out of this flawed Raptors roster, and he’s gradually coming to that realization:

>By all accounts, he and the front office are on the same page in regards to philosophy and play style.
>They want to be more conservative defensively and free flowing on offence. They want to use a deep rotation, cutting the minutes of their starters and finding opportunities for guys like Flynn and Achiuwa.
and that is why NN and his media outburst last season. Now we see why..FO hiding behind, coaches getting the fire and blame
They have Flynn 20+ games to show us he can be a capable NBA point guard. this is on top of the uh… three years, he had to prove himself prior. I think they should not feel bad cutting their losses on him and not playing him anymore.
Flynn not passing to several open Gradeys in garbage time so he can shoot threes. Total Dick move.
what a stupid, disingenuous title. It’s not like he has his dream team in the head, and delusionaly forces his invalid players to catch lobs, and gets annoyed when they can’t do it.
I get that Darko is hired to be this years scapegoat, but give me a break.
Going to end up like Nick Nurse and forced to shorten the bench and play the starters big minutes. I think this was the beef between Nurse and Masai. It’s not fair to a coach to have to play a weak bench and ruin his head coaching career (see Jay Triano). No coach could make this team win, while having this weak bench. Why in hell do we have players like Thad, temple and Flynn on this roster? This team is terribly flawed and management is asking coaches to make miracles.
The problem for Darko and the Raptors is that Masai treats this roster like it won the championship last year instead of a half decade ago and will not cut his losses; much to the detriment of the on-court product.
Guys like Flynn and Precious should be treated as salaries to include in a trade and guys like Siakam and OG should have been moved last year but even so the Raptors/Masai may have lucked out whereby the league is still bereft of sellers and they can get good value for both to build around Barnes. Teams like the Pistons are desperate for changes to avoid being a laughingstock and there are a lot of teams looking to add players for playoff runs.
Even if this team goes on a run, those moves should still be made to get younger/cheaper talent around Scottie to grow with him into the next iteration of a contender because the alternative is floundering a few more years and having to move him when he gets tired of the aimless roster construction.
