Unsurprisingly, Luka will miss the 2nd night of a B2B, according to Stein.
Dallas' Luka Dončić (left quad) is expected to miss tonight's game at Minnesota, league sources say.
It's the second night of a back-to-back for the Mavericks after a rough fall-from-ahead loss at home to a depleted Cleveland team.

Injuries are just killing us, Kidd is overplaying Luka too much 40 minutes a game, he is gonna start missing games due to wear and tear like it happend last year.
Hopefully this is the last of this painful stretch and we get Kyrie back next week.
Back to backs suck. The nba pretends to care about load management and the fans and then this shit happens.
This will never happen because money but they need to shorten the amount of games (maybe 72) or start the season earlier so they can eliminate back to backs and have players actually play and not hurt all the time
Would have been fine with this being a scheduled loss if they took care of business last night
Josh Green legacy game incoming.
sorry to say this but we losing this one 100%
18-14 unless a miracle arises. I don’t know how to feel. On one hand, with a relatively healthy squad I think we’ve got 20+ wins at the minimum. On the other hand, we have clear cut weaknesses that were not adequately addressed imo.
Well I may not watch this game
Not playing Luka longer in the 4th yesterday looks even more stupid
Wolves sth and Luka fan here….weve missed embiid, lebron, Halliburton, Zion and Luka so far. Trash ass league
Luka should stop playing 40 minutes a game.
hard to make excuses for this team due to injuries when you lose to the cavs without Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, or Evan Mobley
Who’s starting?
Only 3rd game missed? I think he’s earned one.
Sucks – we’ve somewhat survived without Kyrie but don’t think we can stay afloat much longer. He’s such an important player for us given how our team is constructed.
The Mavericks were up by double digits in the closing minutes of the 4th with the 2nd unit holding firm. Luka was on the bench and for some reason Kidd decided to sub him back in. Not exactly good coaching, especially after he sat Curry in the first half after Curry started getting hot. Not sure what the hell Kidd was seeing, but the Mavs could’ve had Luka available today AND gotten the win yesterday if not for poor coaching decisions.
Good to know, this means I will miss the 2nd day of the back to back too.
And this is why the loss last night was so catastrophic.
Cool, cool. I have tickets tonight and can’t wait to not see Luka and Kyrie.
probably the right move. this would be a difficult game to win (b2b on the road against the best record in the west) even if fully healthy. probably a good one to punt. give some bench guys some run. maybe you get lucky.
Makes even less sense that he sat for 8 mins in the 4th then
