Senator Cole um passed away I just want to you know send our condolences on behalf of the entire bucks family and organization uh he was always generous uh always kind to me I got to you know work for the bucks in back in 2008 2009 and just a you know humanitarian so

You know it’s the big loss uh for our um bucks organization uh in entire you know state of Milwaukee and and you know he was such a special uh human being if if you ever got to know Senator Cole man he was he was the best so I just wanted to

Start out with that just kind of what did you think of you you think of her uh just uh you know every time I saw him he you know he knew all of us by name uh and uh you know it was my first time coaching and and um just remember

Him just walking around greeting everybody you know he was just always kind and and generous and you know he treated us with a a lot of uh respect I didn’t even know he knew my name but you know he knew everyone uh in the building

And um he just spread Joy you know he was such a great uh human being and you know I know he’ll be missed I guess move to the game uh kind of a weird one with that having some of the guys and then decided not to play

Them as the game went on um how do you feel like you guys Comfort kind uh uh man it it was up and down obviously excuse me these games you you just try to find a way to win the game uh um you know I defensively it was

Tough to try to find you know some Rhythm and continuity I think we gave up 40 points in the paint the first half and and then 30 points in the paint in the second half uh but again uh making no excuses uh but we you know we’ve been

In New York for 5 days or six and um you know it’s it’s been a lot uh but you know also you know tip your hat off uh to Brooklyn um because you know they they competed they ke they kept competing uh they knew they were kind of

Underman but uh I think Jo’s doing a phenomenal job there uh but you know we we took care of business and again like games like this you you just got to you know find a way to win and uh get ready for Cleveland Chris has say what do you

Think of his ability to kind of settle you guys down and get you you know I thought he was great especially coming out in the second half and whenever we need a bucket you know that’s that Chris does a a tremendous job of just settling us down his he has that vet savviness

Vet leadership always make timely shots and not just his uh you know the the connection he has with Giannis and just having him as a extended coach on the floor um again I I mean I I say this repeatedly there’s times where I may call a play and and Chris will give me

Just kind of eye contact and he already has something and um you know I think there was just two of those dunks U um passes laot passes to Yiannis you know that was that was all Chris so uh you know I trust Chris 100% I trust all

Those guys out there but it’s just great to have uh a player like Chris who who uh sees the game at a high level and it’s a out to go out there and execute at a high level as well and then just what do you think of the Boost that cam

Was able to give you off the bench it was great I think you know uh cam is you know it’s tough playing behind Dames just because of the minutes you know uh we usually run Dame the entire first quarter and then third quarter um that’s 36 minutes and then for the game and

Then that only leaves 12 minutes A lot of times for cam at as the backup point so he he got he had a rolling I wanted to reward him and uh you know keep him out there on the floor and you know there’s going to be games where you know

Dame you know Giannis they may need a little bit of RN R you know so it’s good to to uh have guys that could come in and and push up the lead and I thought he was great you know I know he’s um it’s been a tough kind of adjustment for

Him um as far as minutes wise sometimes he’s around 10 minutes sometimes he’s around 12 so it’s good to find him minutes today and he made the best of it he was great going back to Chris uh he hit 12,000 career points tonight for you what type of improvements on offense

Have you been seeing with him with his limited minutes because he did talk about how his mindset and approach has to change you know depending on how many minutes he’s getting and he has to be a little bit cier Yeah I think you know one uh you know he’s responded well to

The increase minutes uh you know I think he’s around he’s above 30 now and I think he’s a you know he’s a rhythm player um once he makes a a shot you know I usually try to go right back to him cuz you know he has ability to

Just uh um just bucket after bucket you know he can fill it up and then he he can control the game as well so um having him at his leadership on the floor um he knows he has a connection with Giannis he has a connects with

Brooke and now he’s you know Dame is starting to um it’s all starting to come together you know we put up 140 you know two points I don’t worry too much on the offensive end I you know there’s going to be T days where the ball doesn’t fall

Like our last game against the Knicks but um I try to focus you know if we could continue to make progress on the defensive end because you know defense wins Championship it’s a cliche but it’s true you know we got to be able to defend uh April May and June just one

More offensive question question uh the team had 41 season High assists what what did that I guess what got your team to that point what was it out there that was working for them when the communication ball movement yeah I think I think uh just making the best play a

Lot of times you know Giannis is getting swarmed uh three or four bodies on him when he hits the paint I thought he did a great job of just spraying it around and spread it around and you know finding the extra you know the open man

Um you know as simple as that I thought you know it was a very unselfish team um you know I think you plays smart basketball you you take what the defense gives you you know if they’re going to collapse in the paint you know there’s going to be uh kick out opportunities

And I tell my team just have your hands and feet ready and uh knock it down and we we were able to do that [Applause] tonight
