Overtime 128 to 122 Eddie we talked about this in the pregame show I felt like this game was a little bit weird with the Detroit Pistons coming in on a 27 game losing streak the Celtics coming off of that West Coast trip and everything just seemed like it didn’t

Sit right coming into this game but what kept it so close all the way through he you right it was a janky game from the start uh what came through was you know what was even jankier let me tell you it you know what the jankiest thing about

It all was think about where we was shooting baskets in the first half in the second half usually we’re in front of their bench in the second half it was flipped so it was a bunch of janky things working you know it kind of looked a little funny but I think that

They just they just figured out exactly how they needed to get down and that was they needed to pound the paint they did that in the second half they was plus four uh they plus 46 from the first half to the second half with 66 points in the

Paint they got to moving the basketball and playing Celtic basketball and that’s what they didn’t do in first half I thought they were kind of uh just treading in mud a little bit they were a little slow A little sluggish everything was a half count off and I think that

Second half they regrouped and they came out especially in that third quarter and balled out yeah well good thing Chris stat porzingis was on the floor for the Celtics tonight 35 points out of him he’s with Abby chin after this game christops this Detroit team has a

Lot of Pride you guys were down 19 at the break you and JT basically put your team on your backs in that second half how did you complete the comeback uh we had to we knew that first half was very uncharacteristic for us and we had to turn it on on in the

Second half and you saw from the first minute we came out we came out a different team and uh and yeah we tried to do every little thing that we could to get ourselves back in the game and we did that and what a contrast in the atmosphere in in the game everything

From first half to the second right and uh it was incredible game and and I’m glad we got this win yeah the first OT win of the season winning plays up and down the floor what made the difference in this one I think our our effort our effort

Was just uh completely different in the second half um this was again I think a little bit of like example that you can get when you’re good it’s easy to kind of get a bit complacent maybe you know and that’s maybe what happened to us in

The first half after coming off a longer uh time being on a road different times on all those excuses we can find of course but we just didn’t come out the right way and you saw it it was a different team in the second half running getting those steals being

Aggressive and and we got the job done for you a season High 33 points you had 13 in the fourth quarter in overtime what were you seeing and able to execute I was just playing my game um we we were adjusting to whatever they were doing so

Whenever they were switching we try to take advantage of that uh we we saw some match up that we like for JT JT was was uh was going at those guys and and scoring and stuff and we just try to make the right play for each other everybody you know did did something

Good for us Al got a huge rebound towards the end kicked it out to me I gave it to DWI like all these little plays is what won us the game at the end so great job finally you guys haven’t faced much adversity this season really how important are these experiences it’s

Definitely I mean definitely important you know we we’re going to have games like this and and and and I think these are the type of games that can really test us and uh tonight was a good test for us being back being down 20 at half

Been called out for effort out rebound you in a matchup like this yeah I mean I think the thing that stood out 31 seconds chance points but you know like when you watch uh Duren and Ivy are live wires like they just get their hands on basketballs they like you could be in

Good position and two guys go up to jump and I’ve seen Ivy out jump porzingis like that doesn’t happen we’ve seen porzingis all year and Ivy just bounces up there and like tips that ball back so I give them a lot of credit like I just

Think like this team is a very athletic team they’re starting to pound the glass but yeah I think the Celtics just kind of you know whatever it was and they had double bigs at times getting out rebounded so obviously if you hear Joe and you guys will hear him today he’ll

They just like they built off that Net game they were right there in with the next game and uh K Cunningham played well uh Ivy’s been playing well these guys are coming in they have pride they’re NBA players they want to win basketball games they don’t want to be

On the wrong side of History so even though they are they G to try to cut that water off and make sure that they win the next few games if they get an opportunity to but it got to start with one and I’m glad we don’t have to see
