i literally witnessed him block a shot and sat there refreshing the nba app box score and i never saw it get counted
I thought his night was done when he was sitting at 23 minutes for a good chunk of the 4th qtr but the Blazers were sticking around and Pop subbed Wemby back in and he quickly got an Assist and finished off an alley oop dunk in less than a minute then promtly got subbed back to the bench haha
Today was the 1st game where everyone accepted Wemby is the #1 option everytime down the court.. offense was flowing through him, defensively he was the focal point.. just perfect start to hopefully better rest of the season ahead

I like this performance even more than the Phoenix 30 piece because this is probably the first time he really hasn’t rushed things and taken bad shots. 2-4 from 3 is exactly what you wanna see, beautiful efficiency and fighting for good position closer to the basket.

Seriously, Spurs really made a clear effort to find him more tonight and it really paid off. Not only in his buckets, but in his assists. He’s actually a really talented passer.

There were a few plays that the blazers new were going to be a lob and they knew none of their bigs could do anything about it so they just had Grant stand on the other side of the rim and whenever Victor went up or came down with the ball he just insta fouled him. Pretty funny to watch.

Also I legit don’t really know what you are supposed to do when Victor sprints the length of the floor and they just throw him a lob. Legit the only way to stop it is to just foul him or even just take foul him before the lob.

It’s funny how they actually treated Wemby like the #1 option after Pop said players needed to be more consistent or else last game. Yet we had posts in this sub insisting that he was talking about Wemby….who just returned from an ankle sprain…and was on minute restriction.

Look what can happen when his teammates actually find him in his spots. My guess is there is gonna be a lot more of this over the rest of this season now that he’s been this dominant and they got the win it should lead to them running things through him more
