He does not push the needle. I pray the Knicks don’t pull the trigger on this trade.

If yall hate Rj yall definitely gonna hate Wiggins for sure.

His three is busted this year and he’s regressed. Would have gladly taken Wiggins from of the last two years.
Let’s talk about trading Steph. It’s over in Golden State. Klay is washed. Send him over so he can improve his legacy.

If we can get him back to what he was just a year ago this is a steal. We need size shooting & defense at the wing position.

If we ended up getting TWO RJs on this team, then this sub may actually implode 😭. Every day would be 12 new hate posts.

I think ppl forget what a huge role he played in a championship season, he def has that dog in him, has not had a major injury, only regressed bc of personal reasons, has show signs of bouncing back, and most importantly he’s gettable, and balances out the roster.

I think we need to rethink the way we think about trades.
In our current situation the last thing we should do is trade for players that are inconsistent, because that is very likely to blow up in our face. Yes, asking prices on Wiggins and Zion may be lower than they used to be, but that’s because they have shown repeatedly that while sometimes they have really good nights, they can also not even be worth starting minutes. Trading RJ for one of them would basically give us back a more expensive RJ.
Winning teams are looking at players like (although I don’t necessarily like their fit with us) Lauri, LaVine, and Pascal. They have shown a consistent ability to perform on a nightly basis. But even then, Randle is playing better than Pascal right now, and LaVine doesn’t even want to play here. The only one I would absolutely love is Lauri but unfortunately I think OKC will beat us out for him.
Any move we make can’t just be “bring well known name to New York,” it has to be someone who we know will give their all and perform at least 75% as well as we think they can at their best every night, and actually changes something about the team.

hard pass… a much older, much more expensive RJ without the drive of RJ.

It wouldn’t be a direct swap. We’d have to attach a 1st rd or a few i bet
