It killed is playing Tate for 35+ mins for 4 pts & letting Maxey score 42 pts.
We should’ve won this! I’m pissed. But hoping for a good 2024 & a good run into the playoffs!

I don’t care about what happened at the end. This game was lost when we gave up more than 110 points. Until we get back to our defensive identity, we’re going to keep losing these games. EVERYBODY on the team has to be better defensively.
You’re telling me Jeff Green isn’t a better option for the 5 than Landale? Landale barely has the hands to catch a rebound let alone make a quality pass to the corner… oh wait he didn’t do that did he.

Nearly 3 30 point games by Green, FVV, and Sengun. Pretty good hustle game by Tari, otherwise, we’re really missing Bari and Brooks, and it shows on defense.
There is no basketball reason to play Tate over Cam and Amen. Fuck these bullshit lineups…
That was perfect for This sub because we chocked that game away but it ended on a Jock miss so we’re going to put it all on Jock.
Why was Sengun forced to foul both times. The last one I understood cause he had no choice. Someone else should have stepped up to do the first one. We needed Sengun on the court man.
Hearing Ryan Hollins say, “if Jalen doesn’t get a good shot, you can pass it to Jock so he can pass it to the hottest man on the court , Vanvleet” to then see Jock make the dumbest basketball decision I’ve ever seen is absolute cinema.
Ime can get a bit too cute with lineups. Rox started strong but pulling Sengun early to play Landale was a disaster.
Tate shouldn’t play >10 minutes ever. He can do some cool stuff sometimes but he’s too flawed to leave on court.
Holiday needs to pull his head in.
FVV’s last minute was a disastrous ending on good performance from him.

Hate we wasted a good Jalen and Sengun game. Let’s get the defense back on track
Ime is performing poorly last couple of games. The lineups are ass, he is doing weird matches on defense and insists on them when they are obviously not working.
We still don’t have a viable offense outside of FVV Alpi pnr or give it to Alpi and hope for the best.
Bench couldn’t contribute, hence the loss. As a Turkish Sengun fan, I’m really disappointed that Tari’s hardwork went to drain.
Jalen, Sengun, FVV 90 bomb is crazy, despite the loss
Happy to see Jalen looking good. It’s actually rocked me emotionally to see him struggling, and it’s affecting my enthusiasm to watch the Rockets as a whole.
Man I have been sick of FVV and holiday lineups. I don’t want to see them on the floor together. Udoka needs to stop being so afraid of offense. I’m glad he was forced to play green and be more offensive tonight, but he needs to run more through sengun and green. We need less 4th quarter Freddy playing hero ball. And the young guys need the reps before winning actually starts to matter more in the next few seasons.
So happy for Jalen. He’s been excellent these last two games. A shame they’ve been losses but if he keeps playing like this, we’re gonna start going on another winning streak.
Udoka has a rotation problem. No clue how he can consistently be this bad at it. He deserves credit for the culture change of this team and everyone has bought in to play defense. But man, his rotations are fucking garbage. He’s had a shitty, non-scoring line up start the 4th of close games at least 5 times and they immediately change the dynamic of the game for the worse. How does this guy not stagger his lineups with at least one scorer at all times? As for his insistence on playing Tate over whitmore or whoever, I can only surmise that ime himself was the same type of hard-nosed defender without a drop of talent and is living vicariously through Tate. There’s no other logical reason for a team that’s biggest weakness is scoring would continue to trot out a completely negative offensive player.
This is a good, honest .500 basketball team. We play .500 ball goddammit. Salt of the earth, punch the clock, even win/loss ratio basketball. We lose a couple, guess what? We’ll win a couple, too. But don’t get too excited or let it go to your head. No long winning streaks here, no sir. That’s hubris, which this blue collar, hard working everyman team doesn’t have. A few wins in a row, these guys, true to form, will balance it out with a couple a losses. Yes sir, that’s my 2024 Rockets. A good, honest .500 basketball team.
I don’t understand why we make this game so hard on ourselves by starting Tate. If we start Tari we would’ve built a bigger cushion to brace the inevitable 4th Q meltdown. Someone explain to me why Ime thinks playing Tate especially in the 4th is smart. So Maxey can drop 42 on us? The amount of times Tate got burned by Maxey is crazy. We also did a horrible job rebounding. I hate to criticize Sengun since he played well, but his poor rebounding this game cost us a lot of points. Disappointing L. I’m honestly worried about Pistons game now. If we put Tate on Cade, he’ll drop 50 on us 100%
I have been drinking the Jalen Green haterade lately and at least for this game let me say, this is the guy I think we always hoped he could be. We’re all so focused on the Landale mistake that we’re not shouting out JG’s insane 3 on the previous possession after the horrible 4 point play put the 76ers up 5. He’s the only reason the Rockets even had a chance after it all and he deserves all of the props.
