I mean the whole I won’t play him more than 28 so he stays efficient was lowkey disrespectful. If my coach said that about after balling out in the playoffs playing like 37mpg while being highly efficient, I wouldn’t be happy either.

I wonder how much this might be Austin’s people being more frustrated than Austin himself. but I have felt he took the benching like a champ, but once ham changed the lineup and is is keeping him at that weird 25/28 mark for awhile now…can see how probably both he and DLO are venting behind the scenes.
Also Austin did have that interesting sound bite last game about how too much versatility can be bad or something? That’s probably where these guys feel he’s feeling the frustration with the changes.

Idk if this source is reliable but Ham clearly has an issue with Reaves. The only “logical” reason Reaves shouldn’t have slotted into the starting lineup after taking D’lo out is for his 6MOTY campaign but like… that shit doesn’t matter. Add on the “27 minute to keep him efficient” comment and something is off.
Some have suggested it’s because Reaves is a bad defender and Ham is a “defense first coach”, which I would understand if Reaves wasn’t trying, but his issue is just his size/speed

So we know Ham isn’t strategy coach, because his game plans seem to be dogshit and he doesn’t play to his players strengths and weaknesses. We win games almost exclusively because of individual brilliance.
