He was shooting terrible from 3 too, really great to see him able to still put up big numbers if that shot isn’t falling.

His three wasn’t falling tonight, but this was a great example of why I want him to drive whenever possible (which he can against FVV). Guys still respect his pull-up even when he’s 2-8, and when they do that he can pick up a ton of fouls and +1s by blowing by FVV et al. Certainly helped that the Rockets best perimeter defender (Brooks) was out.
He could’ve had a lot more assists but Melton and Tobi missed a bunch of open threes. Shit happens I guess.
The one turnover part was really impressive. For him to soak up that many possessions while scoring efficiently and only turning the ball over once is very legal and very cool.
Joel Embiid was right, Maxey should be an ASG starter.

Haven’t been tracking things well but is Maxey looking ahead for MIP? He had a good season last year but with Harden leaving feel like he’s stepped up
He torched us every time he got even a little space to operate in space. Maxeymum velocity in an instant, he’s so damn fast and some of his finishes were ridiculously clean. First option Maxey hits different. Sorely missed Dillon and Jabari tonight, only way we would have a prayer of slowing him down, although obviously you take that trade for Embiid being out.
God he’s so good though. Love the kid, he deserves his first All-Star nod this year
