Also Wemby playing the baby “jokic” role with getting rebounds and pushing the ball and finding people. *Chef kiss* but then unless Jokic, Wemby can also do the same thing from blocks. Love the Wemby-A. Best show on earth. With Vassell running half court sets, when Vic rolls he either gets a bucket or gets fouled and Vic is a 83% FT shooter. If you double Vic Vassell can shoot it. But if Vassell opens up his drives and kicks it to the corners and or cutters like Sochan. Vassell from there will have a ton more open shots. And when that shot starts falling aww man Vassell will be so much more dangerous. So excited after this game man. I’m starting to see the vision and I hope everyone else sees it too. Wemby is a big piece but that Vassell x Wemby PNR might be a shaq and Kobe level threat. Go Spurs Go! ¡Por Vida!

Not sure why it took this long to run Vassell/Wemby pick and roll. I was listening to some French reporters in pre-season and they were all talking about how they thought this was going to be a large part of the Spurs offense. They were calling it potentially unstoppable. Then the season started, and we got point-Sochan instead.
I like the idea of it. But Victor’s picks are kind of a WIP. He’s doing a better job getting his center of mass lower, but he still mostly either slips or fails to rly impact the defender. In this game, it worked in spots to initiate the offense, but they did not get much direct benefit from the pick itself. They did not go to it all that often over the game either, which was surprising. Both because it did serve them well in the 1st, and because they (allegedly) moved Kel to the bench to give Dev and Victor more time to play off of one another. I expected more of it, but, once again, I have no fcking clue what theyre doing with their rotations (going super small on a team crushing you 14-1 on the offensive board? Going even smaller once its clear that they are murdering you on the board??).
I’m all in on them developing it though. I was complaining about them not going there just a few days ago.
Is Murray and Jokic that explosive? I do think the best duo in that team is Jokic and Gordon, given how they do lob. In that regard, I believe Tre and Wemby can be a dangerous duo.
There’s this article in [ESPN](https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/39137254/in-nba-elite-scorers-such-devin-booker-adding-point-guard-their-resumes) about Devin Booker’s shift to point guard. Why not shift Vassel to run point? Though there’s also the fact Tyrese Haliburton just got a 20 points/20 assists double-double and the Spurs could’ve drafted him. But that’s all in the past, right?
